It would be nice if every woman turning 40 could get a 30 day extention.

There were 11 middleweights and 7 lightheavies...if it was balance they were after then he shouldve been in his right wt class....No, there was an attempt to keep him away from the lightheav guys for some reason....also the lightheavies was a tougher class....wouldve been interesting to have seen Uriah go against the guys who placed 2nd and 3rd in lightheavywt as they wee very good.....as I said I take nothing against Uriah, he looked great....but if it was blance they sought then putting him in his true class would have achieved that better. just doesnt make sense what was done. Its even unfair to Uriah in the sense that people will say he wouldnt have beaten the top lightheavy guys......somebody screwed up...who and why is the question.

Yeah, I don't think so. I've been around the block and have never seen or heard of this. My guess is that you are just making this up to defend Uriah. Why is it a huge concern to make all the classes symmetrical? And, also, the classes would have been more symetrical had Uriah stayed in the LHW's. So, that completely disproves your theory. Also, in the 2007 teen nationals, the classes were extremely skewed. Why didn't they alter the classes then?
He broke the rules
Is it Ben's fault that Gary Udit gave him permission to compete?
that happens to balance out the classes..
even if he was in LH.. Ben would have lost his title, and they would have given him the LH and overall win..

your retarded... im not bitter for the sake of my bf. i feel bad for everynoe in the class. i could care less where my bf placed. he did his best and looked great. i feel bad for the others who were effected. it woulda been nice to see a show that had proper placements. thats all i am saying. im not bitter what so ever cuz like u said it doesnt effect me at all....
as for the age thing.. thats a long story.. if ur really interested we could get into it further... but im pretty sure ur throwing in comments to be a dick.. when im in no way bashing you or being a dick towards u so i dont understand the resentment. u looked great urself.... and i was putting in my 2sense to support u guys...
uriah great job... chris the lightweight awesome... and who ever the lightheavy is now... awesome..
the show was last week im done.

i agree with this statement. which is y im not hatin on uriah. if he didnt im sure the politics of the npc woulda placed him in a bs place. im only stating what i heard with uriah.. i thought the kid killed it and had a well deserved 1st place.. if it wasnt 1st in the middle it was a 1st in the light heavies... so congrats to him on looking phenominal.

Preston, where are these amended rules you speak of? I checked the rules before and after the contest and they haven't changed.

Ask Ben for a copy.
Again, had another competitor been in a similar situation to Ben's, they would have received the same treatment, 30 day extension. I know for a fact this isn't the only time where someone over 19 has competed in the Teen Nationals.

Ben received a letter from Gary Udit stating that Gary would allow him a 30 day extension allowing Ben to compete.
Whether you call it an amendment, exemption or whatever else, it's still has the same result.
Similar to the weight class rules being lifted for Uriah.

haha im dishing it out to ben... the person the forum is about. never in the thread did i bash on any of the deserved placements. if you havent read thru any of my posts. i am a firm believer in being fair. especially in competing. especially when i know first hand 16 weeks of dieting and training is gruelling (spelling..sorry)..... i am over arguing the whole ben topic... but i will defend my point so here it is...
ben knew he was wrong. 10 days isnt a huge difference but the rules state 19 the day of the show. he was not 19. he lied in the interview.. he was lying backstage... he belonged with the collegiates... and if i were ben... id rather be in the classes where i belong cuz it will show where you REALLY stand. i dont do small local shows becuz i dont want to be up against 5 girls in my class...to me thats not competition. i prep for larger shows so that when i place 4th i can say ...its not too bad being that i beat 14 other girls in my class.... i PERSONALLY dont think ben looks good. i dont like his physique. im all about steriod use.. i def. dont bash it... i think all men should be shot from the day they're born.. however... his crators are repulsive... and he should be a bit more wise with what hes doing cuz hes only 20 yrs old with a distended gut..that wont look good 10 years down the road. im only "bitter" towards ben in the fact that becuz of his selfishness the placings dont hold true at this show... and it sucks for the other teens... thats all.
the 1st place winners in the classes... now that ben is out... all have DESERVED spots. Uriah woulda placed 1st whether light heavy or middle cuz he looked sick... chris the lightweight... REDICULOUS lines, looked amazing... i dont know the kid who placed 2nd in middleweights, but he looked great as well... awesome legs... the kid who is now 1st in the light heavies... i thought he should have been first when he was up against ben cuz he looked awesome too. placements would have been on point... i am not bashing on any other competitor.. everyone else looked awesome...i originally spoke on this thread out of compassion for those who were robbed... cuz i genuinely care...but thats the last i will put in my opinion.
does that answer ur question Preston? anything else?

And you think it was fair that Uriah had a 5lbs weight advantage over everyone else in his weight class? Why is it okay that Uriah can compete in a class (I am sure you are familiar with the weight class restrictions) he is not suppose to, but when Ben did it, he's a horrible person? They were both instructed to do so from staff members.
ben knew he was wrong. 10 days isnt a huge difference but the rules state 19 the day of the show.
he lied in the interview.. he was lying backstage
