By James Kratch | NJ Advance Media for NJ.com November 24, 2015
Former Giants linebacker Quincy Monk died Tuesday at the age of 36.
The University of North Carolina, Monk's alma mater, confirmed his death on Twitter. Monk died after a brief battle with adenocarcinoma, a form of cancer, according to WRAL-TV in Raleigh, N.C.
Monk was a seventh round pick by the Giants in 2002 and spent two seasons with the Giants, appearing in 13 games. He then played two games for the Houston Texans in 2004 before his career ended.
Monk, who was a married father of two, suffered a stroke in June of 2014, according to WRAL, but his condition was improving. He was honored on the field during a UNC game in October.
Monk worked in finance after his playing days ended.

Cancer doesn't care about how long you've lived. :-(
