Aaron Clark making steady progress
Aaron Clark looking like he is making some progress. Remember he decided to leave the 212s and move to the open class. He is incredibly strong from the videos I have seen. So what do we all think? What weight will he compete at?
What will be his first show of the season?
Will he make an impact in mens open?
What current mens open pros does Aaron pose a threat to?

I'm more of a 212 fan...as long as he shows up In shape and doesn't destroy his balance chasing the monsters I think he may be able to hold his own

I think Aaron does need to control his waist, it has been an area of contention for him in the past. Unfortunatly with his frame if he wants to get bigger the waist is coming with it, he can try and combat this by widening his outer quads and his shoulders which from his training videos that looks like that is what he is trying to do. I think Aaron should be conservative with his weight, however; he should land right at 220-230 when he steps on stage and focus on deep cuts and conditioning rather than trying to compete with the likes of pros who come in 250 plus..I'd like to see Aaron try to start the open season at the NY Pro where he was successful in the 212 category. I think he and Jon Delarosa in a pose down would be great at the NY pro.

Leaving 212 was a mistake. His frame can't support the extra muscle for the open division. He will have a 40" waist by the time he can even get a top 10 placing. Looks like a mess if I'm honest, but at least he's wide.

Shawn Ray was the same height (5'7") and competed at 215 lbs. Ray may be an ass, but who could fault his physique?
Wishing Clark success in the Open class, but what's the benefit of competing at 230 if you're battling a gut?

If he comes in conditioned he will win some of the small shows, but don't think he can impact the big shows like O and Arnold.

i think that his frame can support the extra weight, just like Flex and Correa, but I'm not sure it will flow as well as it used to. His legs are lean and narrow and lacking that quad flare that I think he'll need going up against bigger guys. I wish him luck, but would hate to see him "experiment" too much

Yes he's growing quickly, I hope he will do well on his next show.
