Checking In.
Good week this week. 2nd week of 6 week mesocycle. Legs had some crazy DOMS after the hypertrophy session (this whole weeks is set for that).
Weekly weight avg was 205.8lbs. Kcal avg was 3210
No reply yet from Pete for the coming week as I just sent it off this evening.
I got check with sports med doc for a 4 month and going shoulder issue I wanted to be sure was OK. May not be....tested positive in physical tests 4/5 for a SLAP tear which I know all too well given the work I did with tons of college athletes at UW and Mizzou.
I have an MRI Friday morning to confirm his findings. If it is.....going under the knife to fix. First surgery I ever had in my life if this is the case. I hope its not that and no surgery needed. Waiting to see.UNBA Mens Physique, USAPL 93kg,

MRIs are the closest to being abducted by aliens & having experiments performed on you. Bizarre. But they are much more detailed than X-rays. Go for it & then do whatever you need to to get back to optimum training condition.

OK gang here is the weekly check in.
Avg weight 204.6lbs
Ave kcal intake 3395
MRI results are done but I have to hold till Wednesday to review with sports med doc to get final word. I have the actual images on a disc I need to bring it when I see him to review. I have looked over them and have no real clear idea of what a tear looks like or not. Not my wheel house at all so why would I know? Eager as f$%ck to know the outcome to this issue.
All else is good in the gym and at the table. Sending pics and stats to coach this evening to see where this coming week will take us.

How do you feel carrying this much weight over stage weight!? Comfortable? Uncomfortable?
Do you use a blood glucose monitor at all!? Curious to see how much it has risen as you get further and further into the offseason and pound carbs all day long.2013 & 2014 RX Member of the Year

feel really good at this weight and body comp (13% via inbody 720 and 10 site skinfolds as always) as my strength has never been this high at this weight or any weight. besides the shoulder issue messing up all overhead pressing and upright row movements all is very well. blood labs are strong and healthy, body holding up and i feel good.
besides the numbers i get from my labs (A1C, glucose) I do not have or use a glucose monitor nor have the strips (ungodly expensive without Rx) so i cant say what they are like day to day.
my walking weight for 2 years almost, pre dieting down for my last show was 195lbs so 204 is only 9lbs over walking weight, 29lbs over stage weight.UNBA Mens Physique, USAPL 93kg,

I was diagnosed w/ tendonitis earlier this year & was given a shot rather than surgery. My shoulder still bothers me, but it's not as bad. A friend of mine went through this several years ago, had the shot, & said his shoulder went back to the same level of tendonitis a few years later. Everybody is different, though.

Quick check in folks.....
Good news! No tear for the shoulder! Nothing at all. Just high grade chronic infammation. I got a cort shot and already 6 days later feel the difference. Have to be smart however and not go balls out just yet as the inflamation can get worse yet, I just wont feel it. So great news there, no cutting and dicing needed!
Weight dropped out of the blue this week from 204 Sunday to 199 low thursday and 200 this am for weekly avg 201.5. Calorie intake avg was 3318 so no drop in intake and no added cardio at all either. I did switch my meal timing up for the first time in over a year however but that should not really matter as I see it. I was doing 4 meals a day at 11-3-7-11 and now do them at 8-12-4-8 (ish)
Gonna see what Pete has me do moving forward. I have not seen a sub 200 weight on the scale since June this year and liked it that way!UNBA Mens Physique, USAPL 93kg,

The change in your hours of eating should make 0 difference on the weight. Maybe the body is craving more food!

Pete has me staying put with calories last week as he thinks the cortisone shot may have impact my inflammation as a whole since the drop took place in the first 4 days after the shot and has stayed there since. Now with travel and holidays, new scale at home etc.....this week feels I should keep cals the same as well. If no change up or even holding put at lower weights as of Saturday this weekend he is bumping me to 3500 kcals a day.
This week as of Sunday morning my stats are:
Weight avg 201lbs
Kcal avg: 3210

Had an amazing xmas eve and xmas day with family! One major perk of my move to St Louis for new job there is that I can drive home in 5 hours time any given weekend or holiday I please to see family like this! In San Diego it was Thanksgiving and Xmas only with 1 more 4-5 vaca in July for summer and that was all. Family to me now at 33 means the world to me (not that it did not before) but now its more clear.
Now if I can just get a god damn women in my life and begin my own family at long last! Sheesh!
Finding tons of women I'd love to date at work and gym but none are ever single! Rough part of dating in your early 30's is that so many more women are not single or have kids already compared to those college days!
Hope you all have a great New Year! Be safe and have fun!UNBA Mens Physique, USAPL 93kg,
