Pete has me staying put with calories last week as he thinks the cortisone shot may have impact my inflammation as a whole since the drop took place in the first 4 days after the shot and has stayed there since. Now with travel and holidays, new scale at home etc.....this week feels I should keep cals the same as well. If no change up or even holding put at lower weights as of Saturday this weekend he is bumping me to 3500 kcals a day.

This week as of Sunday morning my stats are:
    Weight avg 201lbs
    Kcal avg: 3210

Had an amazing xmas eve and xmas day with family! One major perk of my move to St Louis for new job there is that I can drive home in 5 hours time any given weekend or holiday I please to see family like this! In San Diego it was Thanksgiving and Xmas only with 1 more 4-5 vaca in July for summer and that was all. Family to me now at 33 means the world to me (not that it did not before) but now its more clear.

Now if I can just get a god damn women in my life and begin my own family at long last! Sheesh!
Finding tons of women I'd love to date at work and gym but none are ever single! Rough part of dating in your early 30's is that so many more women are not single or have kids already compared to those college days!

Hope you all have a great New Year! Be safe and have fun!

I would not say allot of intolerances.....I have worked with clients and athletes with LOTS of sensitivity and intolerance let me tell you.

All I have is a lactose intolerance (cows milk, soft cheese, most ice creams) and wheat/flour other than slow rise sourdough and sprouted grain breads. No sensitivity or allergy with this, I just get sleepy as all hell really quick after I eat even small portions.

I have found tons of alternatives to take the place of these for dairy/wheat/flour replacements to bake with, and make part of daily meals.

    440 squat

great year of gains indeed! up 28lbs from show day and 7lbs over previous offseason end weight. InBody results have me at 13% bodyfat which is what I been doing for past 2 months inplace of skinfolds since I found identical results between the two.

2019 has me doing 4 PL meets and 7 OCR events this year. Gonna be awesome!!

i was with Pro Lab August 2016 to sept 2017 bes they refused to renew their 3rd part independent testing seal from NSF and as one who has been a huge champion and open speaker on supplements getting 3rd party seals to stand above the others and showcase commitment to their customers.....i had to drop them. sucked as i lost my contest sponsorships and other costs coverage but the principle of the matter was what matters. lucky for me i got contacted by Dymatize in early December about working with them in the same type of capacity which was welcomed as I have used Dymatize products since 2010 to some degree or another all along. Their informed choice seal also satisfies my morals on that level as well so its win win.

I also am a rep for blueprint for athletes yes but that is not a dietary supplement company as you know.

Dymatize was also found 3 times in the past of not meeting label claims on their protein powder which is the biggest drawback to the company IMO

I have not seen that so will have to look at details on how and when that happened. However I would also contend no other brand still on market today that size with that long of a history has less then or even equal to just 3 protein power product lots not meeting label specs.

    quick update folks!

on week 9 of 10 this week and have 2 sessions of 5 down. its volume week and my god! pete has me hitting 30-36 sets per workout this week! the first two, legs and then upper push were brutal! the shere volume had me drained by the end of the 90 minute workout ....tanked! i averaged 3310 kcals last week and did only cardio walks outside a few times this past week as it got warm out for once in the past month so i had to!

i lost 1.2lbs on average to the week before. pete bumped me to 3400 kcals this week as an avg goal for kcals as he feels the higher volume week will require more energy intake seeing this drop and my subjective feelings of being just prepherially drained after the workouts.

i train 645-815pm so i have had 3 of my 4 meals by then and i still feel drained so its certainly kicking my ass! the soreness is tolerable but oh so present for a day or 2. rest day today and then 3 days in a row to rock out the final part of week 9 and deload in week 10 and boy will it be welcomed!

also got confirmed i am speaking at the ISSN national this june and got accepted to speak at nsca national this july for the 2nd time! good way to start a week off!

OK guys how we been!? Quick check in....

weight is at 201lbs this past weekend, been holding about there or a little less for 4 weeks. work travel and 2 added days of outdoor runs have been demanding hiher calorie needs it seems. i do 2 30 minute runs in prep for the 7, 5k mud runs I am doing this spring and summer. its been a fun hobby of mine with friends and co-workers for years. being i have no sea time to worry about anymore i can do them at will all year. all 7 are between MO, KY, IL and WI. I had to plan them around work travel and speaking engagements but managed just fine.

training going very well! lifts are up, body doing well. just this week i feel a little throat thing going on and pray its not an early illness of some kind! not been sick in over a year! do not want to be now either!

as an aside, recently put myself back in the dating game full force, doing Match, Bumble and Tinder and fine with admitting it. At 33 and truly wanting to get settled and find companionship I am going to use any means I can to find someone I am compatible with. I really dislike being single and have for a whole now, time to change that. Should be easier to do now without sea time and trying to date military women as a civilian. Have my own place for once in 5 years and make better money in a cheaper city/state as well, all good foundations for starting that chapter.

Do those dating programs really work? They seem like scams IMO
or a lot of wasted time.

Match.com got me a date in a month that worked out well for about 8 weeks. In fact it ended out of the blue 3 days after valentines day with a random call that she did not think her Christian faith was going to allow us (I'm agnostic and she knew it) to work long term. Really caught me off gaurd. We still hang out often but wont be going further as a couple. Back at it we go!

Tinder is laughable, Bumble actually has merit for meeting people in general and for dates. Leaves the work to the female to make the move, lets you sit back and wait....
