Shake Up at Team MD
Busy with all of the holiday stuff, I almost missed the big shake up over at my former place of employment. The Fit One, Miss Adina, out and Fan Boy WisconsinBB in as online Editor-in-Chief.
I must say that I'm a bit surprised on a few levels.
First of all, Blechy LOVED Adina (not in a romantic way, of course, but rather in a professional manner) and she could do no wrong in his eyes. So to see her replaced was pretty shocking.
But then to put the crown on the head of that guy - the one who asks what 80s T-shirt or baseball cap he should wear on the forum - may be biting off more than he can chew.
They had the perfect replacement in-house already and that is Alan Donnelly, who took my old spot there. He was high in the pecking order at FLEX when I was there, too, and knows his shit and is a professional. He's not a fan boy like WBB and has been playing this game long enough to know exactly how to do it the right way.

Didn't Adina start as a fan"girl" of sorts in the first place there?

Yep and hiring people that have zero experience either as a writer or editor to be in charge of such is asinine. The MD site and forum has sucked balls since she took over and putting another inexperienced person in that spot is going to keep its decline intact.
Compare the Dave and John days to now.

Well, that's the boards in general.
Social media outlets have taken over most of it.
Boards are for people who want discussion and input, which is not most people in the world any longer.

I thought it was a great choice. Much better than Donnely or Adina.

That's very sad to read. I wish Adina the best.

Adina did a very good job there and worked her ass off. I saw a lot of the behind the scenes when I went backstage at a few shows and she was a very hard and dedicated worker.

I think Wisconsin BB is quite cool ! Very respectful in his interview and ask "good questions", knows the competitors well etc. However it does not compete with a Chris or Dave Interview (nor a Cedric McMillan interview lol), but for MD he is doing good! Nothing bad to say about him
David Cua also called Donald Pump known for "making bodybuilding great again" !

She may have indeed worked very hard but so does our building maintenance man.
However, he can't write a line of software, nor would I hire him to even try, despite him working his ass off every day. He did get a nice bonus for xMas!!
Sucks to lose a job and I am sure she will do well going forward.

When you hire people for a supervisory position, they should at least have some field time and possibly experience doing the same job elsewhere. That's why Alan Donnelly should have been the guy. Replacing an inexperienced person with someone even less experienced is head scratching, but look at who we're talking about here.
How is WisconsinBB going to coordinate, send out writing assignments, proofread the same and prepare everything for the website when he has never penned an article in his life? Forum posts and/or blogs are not writing, no matter how much people in this industry tend to believe so. Until you have a by-line in a printed product, you're not a writer.
Going to shows and interviewing bikini competitors carrying donuts and wearing a backwards baseball cap is for Vine, not the self-proclaimed leader in the industry.
