I am so late to this party...and dutifully ignored all references to "The Force Awakens." I have not seen it yet. Hard to get Bossman to go to the theater with our big azz tv at home.
Happy New Year! Love the journal title (I needs to change mine!). Woot woot on the arm healing up and getting back into the gym. Slow & steady wins!

2/1/16 - Monday
Slacker checkin' in...
I'm traveling today for work and hopin' to hook up w/ some old gym buddies this week!
Arm updates:
1/29/16 (Friday): got the A-OK from the doc for the 6 week follow-up. The tendon should have reattached itself to the bone by now. Next follow-up is in 4 weeks and I can officially "start increasing to moderate weights"
Week of 1/25: Fighting a flu bug most of the week - lots of poor quality sleep & sleep catch up.
Generally: Been training Back (focus lower lats, minimal bicep engagement) & legs.
Based on bicep progress and generally what's up, discussion w/ my trainer points to potential target competition timeframe of September. Not much in the way of competitions in AZ, but may look around the SW.

2/12/16 - Friday
Yep, the Force apparently hasn't had enough coffee to really get going yet this year. My excuse, travel all of last week, late nights work or home early feeling like crap, flight home w/ a family of sick kids, and Sat - Wed fighting whatever airborne crap was recycled into my lungs. However ... two major things accomplished this week:
1) REFI! Got myself onto a 15 yr mortgage w/ a sweet rate. My house will be paid off well before I go into the old age home!
2) Got to the gym today!!!!!
PM Training: Back - working w/ the trainer today so half the time I didn't catch the amount of weight :c/

seated alt cable row (low lat focus): 35/12 x 2 35/15 x 2
lat pulldown: 80/12 x 2 80/15 x 2
standing wide D-grip cable rows (variation of angle / bent over BB row): 60 (?)/12 x 2 60(?) / 15 x 2
BB bent over row: 70/12 x 2 70/15 x 2
HS high row: 45/12 x 2 45s / 15 x 2
DB pull over: 30/15 x 3 30/20
Cardio: 5 min stepmill + 25 min treadmill (angle 12/speed 2.8)
Nothing amazing, but dang it's humbling coming back after almost 2 weeks out of it.
