Sassy69 2016: The Force Awakens
2015 was about getting a new life established in a new state with a new house, and get my poor beat up body back on track after 5 years (since last competition) of dealing w/ a bum shoulder and a degree of body fat that got out of control as part of the evil circle of "get back in the gym - hurt self - stay out of gym - get fat and bummed out - get back in the gym - hurt self - ... repeat". All accomplished. This year is more of a follow on of everything that I worked to get established in 2015. I have a lot of ideas of what I want to accomplish in 2016, but still somewhat fuzzy on the approach - so that will present itself as I move forward. (That's the idea anyway...)
So without further ado, here is the set of primary things I want to accomplish with this new year and this new thread:

1. Recover from my torn right bicep w/ a 100% new right arm!
With surgery on 12/12/15, 6 weeks to fully reattached tendon to the bone - so roughly 4 weeks out from 100%. In Feb, I'll start training biceps & expect full capacity by March. They tell me I should have no more tendonitis issues on this arm!
2. Rebuild & refine for a competition (WPD) later this year.
Need to address glutes, hams, shoulders and rebuild my right arm.
3. Explore some different work opportunities in Business Analytics.
Bored w/ the current job and despite enjoying working from home, I REALLY need to get out & meet new people. I'll be completing a 4 class certification from the local U in Business Analytics - currently 3 classes left, expect to be complete in March.
4. Explore some side work - looking for some entrepreneurial opportunities.
This is a big fat I HAVE NO IDEA ... but I'm keeping my eyes wide open for something outside of my corporate existence to keep life interesting and to provide some dollars for the retirement fund.
5. Starting the second half century of my life on this planet with greater gratitude and happiness.
I'm a fairly private person, so maybe its time to go out & be crazy a little more. (Altho may require keeping a larger roll of duct tape on hand, doing more warmups before moving fast and perhaps keeping a roll of bubble wrap ready to go.)
6. Toying w/ the idea of getting a dog or another cat, but that's still just a thought...
