i am having trouble sending pM's. I sent a pm to dAve twice and it will not show up in my sent items and when i click the back button everything i typed is wiped out, gone. and then i retype it and resend it and it doesnt show as sent and my private messages say 0 sent messages.

I had the same problems, the messages should be sending, go to User CP and than to Edit Option, and check the box "Save Sent Receipt"

Click on Edit Options

Check the box:

When sending private messages the forum can make a copy of the message in your Sent Items folder.
Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default

it would be good if this was enabled by default on all user accounts... would probably prevent confusion since I'm guessing most people aren't poking around much in the options configurations. Unless of course its an issue of hard disk usage maybe?

disclaimer- i'm just guessing here, don't have any experience in message board administration
