Is it rude to ask for a spot when you're sick?
Do you think its not right to, and would you give a spot to the guy/gal who has a cold?

I only help people who I've never seen texting between sets. I don't care if you have the f*ck*n bubonic plague, I'll help you. But if you have the bubonic plague and you're a chronic gym texter you're on your own, Jack and Jill. Same goes for people who chronically check themselves out in the mirror like the Gods and Goddesses of Hypertrophy.

I would help anyone I can. One guy asked me to spot him with 405 on the bench and I declined because there is no need to hurt myself. I recruited someone to take the other side so there was two of us.
However, if they have a cold I would be very cautious and look for the disinfectant and mention something about staying home to avoid getting others sick.

Yeah I mean between every set ... they'll check out body parts they aren't even working. Some guys at my gym look sideways and watch themselves walk in the mirror to and from the water fountain. They just can't get enough. And they all act like Metroflex Branch Warren. If they were benching 405 and dropped it on themselves I wouldn't notice until it was too late.

I go to a moderately hardcore type power house. There are people that are working out with their shirt off sometimes and doing all types of wierd flexes, "checking themselves out" and so on. Does it look weird absolutely. At the same time I understand, you have a great body, your endorphins are kicked in from the work out and you are just enjoying yourself. Whatever work out butt naked if you want. As long as you are not interrupting my work out it doesnt bother me.

This is the real question. Is it rude to tea bag someone while giving them a spot on bench?

A couple of weeks ago a guy asked me top spot him while he was doing a box squat for three reps with 495. I went along with even though I could die. Reason a) he wasn't sick. Reason b) he doesn't text between sets.
