True enough.
Toney offered reasonable and straightforward recommendations. He was level, intelligent, and direct. There was no tearing or overwrought complaints or accusations.
You could say he tore the Swedish police apart, though. And he had no kind words for what he called Barnum & Bailey bodybuilders.Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | Join Rx Muscle on Facebook!

"There's no standard; they can do whatever they want. That wouldn't go on in the NFL or MLB. If they changed the standards every week, then no one would follow it. One day, I'll be sitting in the audience and I don't want to watch bullshit."
This was only his first few quotes in the clip. And I can't say that I disagree with him, either. But this isn't exactly a ringing endorsement of the judges.

In favor of current judging approach or status quo, though, there are a lot of variables including but I'm sure not limited to structure, muscle shapes, conditioning, looks, posing, suit, and presence. What else?
Judging is and ever shall be subjective.
Even things that aren't judged - I have no doubt - have an impact on a contest's outcome. And should. Ephemeral and seemingly arbitrary. This is judging at its finest.
If Toney wants criteria, he picked the wrong sport.Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | Join Rx Muscle on Facebook!

-As a fan, though, placings mean zero to me.
This is how I also think. There are other factors that go into what makes me a fan of someone besides the physique, such as attitude, style, perspective, work ethic, etc. Placings are nice but irrelevant and pretty much out of anyone's control. When it comes to me following someone and respecting them as an athlete, they could be second or even last call-out and I will still be a fan. Look at Juliana Malacarne's placing at the first WPD Olympia….Last edited by baby muscle; 02-26-2016 at 08:39 AM.

This is an amazing interview. Love the X-man!
Hahahahaha!
"You need to get your testosterone checked because you acting like a bitch right now!"
Best quote ever. -And this interview is filled with gold just like this.
Not only have I always liked his physique but... for christssake, the man has the patience of a saint. Remember how they screwed up his music like 2x at the Arnold last year? And the Swedish detaining for questioning. He should get a medal for humor under pressure.Last edited by baby muscle; 02-26-2016 at 08:56 AM.
