Pre-workout: What do you take/ eat preworkout?
I am not a fan of traditional pre-workout drinks. Too many stimulants that make me crash at some point within the workout. As a result, I have changed to creatine monohydrate and beet powder fifteen minutes in advance. It works well and maintains my energy throughout the training session.

I am also not a fan of commercial pre-workout drinks.
I train between meals 1/2 so in afdition to meal 1 (oat-almond-egg pancake), my pre-workout staple = cup of coffee with vanilla whey as creamer plus creatine monohydrate.2016 RX Member of the Year & March 2015 Member of the Month

3-4 eggs in omelette (nothing added) W/ 1 or 3/4 cup of oats. 60-90 minutes before workout. Usually 90 minutes.
I go on and off creatine on 3 months on 1 or 2 months off.

Villacorta especially recommends bananas for morning exercisers: “Get up and eat a medium banana with 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt. Wait about 30 minutes and then hit the gym. Your body will need the carbohydrates and protein.”

We should eat small and well-rounded breakfast. That will provide quick and long-lasting energy boost.I prefer High-Protein Oatmeal as a breakfast before starting my pre-workouts.

when I was in mid-prep for my last show I'd have to drink about half of a sugar free red bull for some energy-coffee and I don't always get along due to acidity levels but now I'm usually fine with nothing-I do miss the days of pre-w.o. b/c I loved the slightly cracked out feeling but if it was a day I was doing something heavier like legs? ugh, no-I'd feel almost sick from the stimulants
sidenote: I have some coworkers who take pre-w.o. to get through a shift...no gym goers here...just people looking for a kick in the booty...not sure how they do it

Pre-workout (1 hours before)
I take a serving of whey concentrate (20g protein) and 100g of vegetables (approx 10 - 15g carbs) with both adding up to approx less than 200 calories - 1 hour pre-workout.
Intra-workout
creatine + taurine + bcaa (0 calories)
Post-workout
whey concentrate (20g) + 2 whole eggs + 300g of vegetable carbs
Any advice or tweaks? Thanks!

I'm not crazy for high stimulant Pre-workouts. Normally i just have coffee but recently i tried smoking gun and felt great with that. It had like a clean energy effect, i didn't feel stimmed out like on other pre-workouts. Plus the pump was great.
