I'm 5'6" 195 lbs with a resting heart rate of 96 bpm and about 20% bf. Should i be worried about the heart rate?

How are you defining resting?
Do you take stimulants of any kind (caffeine, pre-workout , etc)?
What is your heart rate during cardio, light and HIIT?
Do you have any other known issues (i.e. from diabetes to getting over a cold to overtraining)?Training and diet consulting available. Send me a PM.

I was sitting in a truck waiting for workers to show up when i measured today. I'll check my rates at the gym in a few, and i am taking pre before my evening workouts with creatine. krealkalyn, glucosamine, msm, and a daily multi in the mornings. I have a clean bill of health as far as i know with no bad medical history.

For an accurate reading on your resting heart rate, you should really check first thing in the morning. Make sure you're sitting down.

My phone won't record my heart rate while I'm at the gym for some reason. After deads it was at 141, but anything over that threw up an error on ny phone.

The person who suggested checking the pulse on awakening is a good way to see what your resting hear rate is. If you take the pulse after drinking coffee or under stress it may increase your heart rate. If you health care provider says you are fit to do cardio, consider a program that includes at least 20 minutes several times a week on the treadmill or bicycle.
