honestly, though, i'm not sure the judging system is just at all; i wouldn't be surprised if the judges didn't actually score every round as they happen, but rather fill the scorecards once everything is done and adjust the rounds scoring in order to get to the desired result.

a transparent judging (i.e. everyone in the audience knows the actuals scores at the end of each round) would remove some of the drama, but i think it would be highly beneficial to the sport.
though i doubt that the powers that be would ever make it happen since that would diminish their power...

So will the judging at this show somehow attempt to either reaffirm Kai's winning or even make up for Ced being judged the better physique yet not winning?

im sure we're not the only folks who realize how the released score cards pretty much show the opposite of what Steve is saying As an explanation.

Bob Chick is still saying that Kai still would have won... or something like that. Its VERY ironic. because he is kind of taking the Kai Greene explanation approach to explain how Kai still would have won. He is 100% wrong of course, but he spews a bunch of random statements together in an attempt to "prove" that Kai would have won like Steve said.

He says "its like saying: "If you eliminate the 3rd quarter my team wins", you just cant do that".

... obviously it is NOTHING like that, lol. I like Bob, but he is completely wrong on this one.

The only way in my opinion to make the judging more accurate is to have a computer automated system. Have a list of criteria that we are supposed to be following anyway: size, symmetry, conditioning, shape, ect.... so that every judge pushes a button from 1-5 or whatever rating every competitor as they come out in the line up. Then the computer adds up all the judges votes and they come out with the fist call out group from that. The problem I have seen over the years it that the Head judge and one or two people sitting closest to him tend to pick the people they want in the first call out, top 5-8 people. So the other judges further down the table end up changing their scoring as some of them did not even have the same competitors in that first line up. They don't want to look like they don't fit in so they change things. So essentially what happens is you have 7-11 judges, but really only 2-3 of them are making all the decisions.
