Wow! What a game between Syracuse and Gonzaga!

The Orangemen were a bubble team, in a largely forgettable year (Boeheim suspension), now they are headed to the elite 8.

A bubble team as a solid 11 seed? Personally, I have them headed to the finals and losing.

I agree. The Orangeman's seeding made absolutely no sense. Most people predicted that they wouldn't even make the tournament, let alone get a 10 seed.

Now I hope they win the whole damn thing. Syracuse is proof that legacy and potential, should be factors on who gets selected into the tournament. A pedigree means something. The Orangemen are college basketball royalty.

I don't even have a favorite college basketball team. But I will admit that Syracuse is my father's team, and I like seeing him get excited.

Much of the tournament is managing emotions and focusing the team. A seasoned coach makes a big difference during the pressure (game) and waiting (weekend to weekend).

Dark Knight Rises. It was on cable. We OWN it. No reason he had to insist on watching it right then and there. He fell asleep halfway through so at least I got to watch the second half of the game.

Yesterday afternoon he caught the stomach bug that is ripping through our household so I got to watch UVA kill it back to back with that awesome Syracuse win.

He's still recovering from the bug (as am I) so tonight's games are safe too.

Does he like watching sports? I always laugh when my mother and father get into arguments when she says he watches too much TV. After the storm settles, and my mother goes off, my dad always leans over to me and says: "Son, if you ever get married, make sure she likes sports" .

There is credence the term: Opposites attract.

He likes football, used to travel with the West Point team when he taught there, as the team's chem prof on the road. College basketball just isn't his thing. My alma mater is the birthplace of basketball (same as Aceto). As a student there you get sucked into March Madness whether you like it or not. For me it doesn't matter who's playing or what sport as long as it's a good, honest game with athletes playing their hearts out.

Do you watch football? Do you share that bond with your husband?

What are your favorite NFL and college teams?

Yes we watch football together. If West Point is playing you can be rest assured we're watching, ESPECIALLY the Army-Navy game! Always must-see since he's a retired green beret and he taught at West Point.

Pro football we're of the same mindset- can take it or leave it until the playoffs. Once the playoff games start we still don't have favorites unless there's some crybaby or unsportsmanlike team we can cheer against. At ANY level of sports neither one of us can tolerate poor sportsmanship, particularly the pro level where athetes are PAID to play.

You just broke my heart. I am a New England Patriots fan

NFL football is serious business. But I can understand how a couple who lives in Maryland, would be jaded about pro football.

    The Ravens and Redskins suck.

While I wouldn't say ANY team sucks (I'm too nice), I would say that all three of those^ teams leave much to be desired regarding sportsmanship. Maybe one player here or there but not a TEAM that I could point at among those 3 and say to my kids, hey there's a team of role models to emulate.

You don't have to explain yourself to me. I am just glad to be amongst such a solid group of people.

I am like Tom Cruise from the Last Samurai. I need time to understand and assimilate.
