Who still reads mags?
I still read mags every now and then. It brings back memories of still shots that bodybuilders would make with there facial expressions and gave me motivation. Just the other day I went to Barnes and Noble and picked up a mag. What about you??/what are you waiting for?

I pick one up occasionally. Years past it had been a religion. I probably have enough copies to crush a man if dropped from a good enough height.

I haven't bought one in years but.....let papa Cook tell you about muscle mags back in the day.In the late 70s they didn't have the mags at convenience stores and grocery stores like now.You had to go to news stands and these seedy book stores.Usually they were on a rack between that months issue of Jugs or Black tail.I would get all the new copies of Stength and Health,Iron man Muscle Builder.Flex wasn't out yet.I still remember I was 18 years old and the look I would get from the old fart at the counter as I would put my magazine with Ron Teufel in what looked like his underwear up on the counter.Anyway I don't miss that and I don't miss having to wait 6 months to see who won the Olympia but something is missing in the move from the mags to internet.I'm not even sure what it is.

Got all those, yes. My first subscription to any magazine was Dan Lurie's Muscle Training Illustrated.
Met Ron Teufel, the perennial AAU Mr. America competitor, at the Mr. Lancaster County competition, a local Pennsylvania show. Might have been 82 or 83. He was competing in the IFBB at that time, I'm pretty sure. It looked like he had burned off his cool skull and dagger shoulder tattoo, possibly in response to Oscar State's seeming hatred of ink and, iirc, a statement that tattoos would find a contestant being marked down.

Was definitely reading the mags before Muscle & Fitness replaced Muscle Builder/Power and the appearance of Flex. I've heard of people calling Gold's in Venice to ask who won the O, too.
Magazines are highly nostalgic for me. I can identify with Arnold's story of his mother worrying over his having posters or pages from the mags plastering his bedroom wall. My wall was a collage of men's and women's competitors. Muscle Training Illustrated was famous for having a centerfold in it. I was first introduced to Samir Bannout through the pages of MTI. Robert Kennedy's MuscleMag International was like a phone book when it first appeared on the newsstand. At one time he offered lifetime subscriptions for $99. lol Wish I'd had a hundred dollar bill back then. MuscleMag International had annual issues, too.

I'm bias and do read my magazine. But I'm an old fuck and love print - newspapers and magazines. I get the paper delivered every morning and love my sports and politics. As far as the bodybuilding titles, I first was into Muscle & Fitness back in the early-to-mid-1980s. That was the one to get back then. Then later on, Muscle Media 2000 was the only one that had the balls to talk openly about juice.
The John and Dave era of MD was my favorite, though. Perfection in a bodybuilding magazine. That's what I'm trying to do - get the rogue feel of that MD mixed with MM2K and Muscle Elegance.

Magazine junkie. And not old, either. But I chose a university for their print journalism program, so holding paper and reading what's on it is a natural state of being for me. But I do like the little gifs krystal_a_fit posts on her Instagram.

I use to buy 2 or 3 mags at the start of the month.Ever how many they had and I would skim through them in a couple of hours and read the articles that I found most interesting. But by the end of the month I had gone over each mag cover to cover and re-re-read each article to the point that sometimes certain mags would re-print some articles and I would remember reading it before.I think there were probably some that I read so many times I would recognize them today.Shame I didn't put all that research into something more productive.

I remember when I started working out...a guy I work with gave me a box of bodybuilding magazines and what I learned most was supplements and what a bodybuilder looks like....most of the articles on diet and training were a joke
I still get beverly's no nonsense magazine (publication) and browse through it
I'd rather put on a podcast to hear opinions of training/nutrition or anything else I'm interested in
