Can Kai Greene Beat Phil Heath? Bodybuilding Insider Gives His Opinion!!!
I think Kai can beat Phil, but he needs to bring the perfect combination of mass and conditioning. It also, looks like Kai might not take part at the Mr. Olympia by his recent social media posts. What do you guys think?

They will never stand on stage together again. So no.
If they were to compete against each other again, I think it depends on the show. No chance he beats him at the Olympia, that ship has sailed.
I guess it is possible he could beat him somewhere else, but highly highly highly unlikely.

What the video highlighted clearly was what we knew about Kai's traps or lack thereof.
Luimarco was the first I saw highlighting that Phil is no longer fully spreading on the rear lat spread. He's trying to contract his traps while doing a lat spread. The result is not great.
Genetics are a bitch sometimes.

I'm tired of Luimarco and all these Coke Zero drinking Youtubers. Salute this and Proppah that. If Bodybuilding Outsider really wants to believe Kai Greene lacks back density then go ahead and have Phil's back. I'd take Kai's any day of the week. Overall it's thicker and more massive and he can contract his lats, which makes it more entertaining to watch him pose. And if you think Phil Heath has finished ahead of Kai Greene at the Olympias because his traps are a bit bigger and you can see them better in the rear spread because his lats are smaller then God help you in your pursuit to be yet another shitty regional bodybuilding judge.

Oh and a reminder of what the "#2" bodybuilder in the world looks like next to Kai Greene

Give Kai's lats to Phil or anyone for a day and then see how much less their lower and mid-traps still stand out in a rear lat spread. If you want to judge traps judge them in the rear-double, which is probably Kai's best shot (back size & detail, ham detail, calves, shoulder fullness and separation, and biceps peaks).
It would help if people commenting or starting Youtube pages to critique bodybuilders used their brains as well as their un-trained eyes, or even maybe flipped through a muscle anatomy book before commenting on traps in the thickest, widest rear lat spread in the sport.
Phil Heath beats Shawn Rhoden with his back size and arm detail, but those aren't the reasons he's been lucky enough to finish ahead of Kai Greene.

Look at the back double bicep comparison between Phil and Kai further up the thread. Phil's traps are clearly much bigger than Kai's. Kai just does not have traps on par with the rest of his back development and this gives the illusion of a lack of proportion and balance. This is very obvious in the photographs in this thread.
