A tan won't make a fat guy's or a skinny-fat guy's muscles pop, but a tan Evan Centopani looks better than a neon-white Evan, right?

Ask Jeff Beckham, a black guy at the NY Pro who decided against color and was lighter skinned on stage than every white competitor in the show. He looked light gray under the ballroom beams, which is not a poppin' look.

It is all about contrast. Whether a television, computer screen, or a tan, the greater the contrast the more the "edges" can be viewed. This is especially true under the lights of a stage.
