Gym commute? How long's it take you?
Cook trains at home, but for those who travel...
How long does it take to drive to your gym?
It's two minutes (if I hit all green lights) to Gold's and ten minutes tops to Planet Fitness (shut up, #IWILLFIGHTYOU for the HydroMassage gizmo) from my front steps.

I'm also a home body, but when I did train at a gym, it was New York Sports Club... They had a lot of locations at the time, so I was no more than 15-20 minutes away from any one location.
My goal though is to travel to Long Island and train at Bev's at least once.. that's a 2+ hour trip for me... Hopefully I'll get there this summer.

Yeah mine is a 30second commute. My barn full of weights is about 50 ft.behind my house.I trained for years at a gym that was 7 miles away and on my way to work.I used to train early then shower there and go to work. The original Metroflex is only about 15 minutes from my house I guess if I was serious I could go there.

Not bad!
LOL You're winning, Kaotic.
I hope you get there. A million years ago during a bus trip to an art museum in NYC I left the museum to find Better Bodies. LOL Bought a fanny pack with the BB logo and almost missed the bus back to school. The professor was not impressed.
How does anyone beat Kaotic's two-minute walk? Thirty seconds? Kaotic, pick up the pace and get your time down to 29 seconds to take back the title!
And, wow, the original Metroflex? Home base to Big Ron? Fantastic.
curt = nerd
Very cool. I'm so glad there's a Gold's so close to my front steps.Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | Join Rx Muscle on Facebook!

The gym I mainly train at is under the same roof as my work, though it is about a 25 minute commute to work and I usually train on my lunch. There are, however, a couple of nice gyms within 10 minutes of my home.

3 mins in car from my home. But I'm thinking about making a home Gym. Need to ask the Mayor construction permit + See what equipment I should buy + think if it worth doing the investment.
I think:
- One bench + Dumbells from 1 pound to 100 pound. (I don't use more weight than that)
to do flat dumbbell bench press/incline / One arm dumbbell row /
- A rack for the weight
- One smith machine for shoulder press
- One squat rack where you can do pull ups
- One olympique bar
- One smaller straight bar
- A poulie to do low cable row
- Another to do Behind the neck lat pull down
- Another to do triceps pushdown
- A machine for leg extension
- A machine for leg curl
- A pro treadmill
That's it. But thinking why investing in it if I have the Gym that close to home …David Cua also called Donald Pump known for "making bodybuilding great again" !
