Could Shawn Ray come back?
I keep hearing people say that Kevin is the only guy from the 90's who has any chance at all of making a successful comeback because he is such a freak, still seems young, and is healthy.
What about Shawn? Shawn still looks young, still has good skin, seems to still carry a decent amount of muscle, and he's two years younger than Kevin.
Obviously Shawn is never coming back, but for my money, Shawn would have just as good of a chance of coming back and making a splash in the 212 as Kevin does doing the same in the open.

Huuum Don't know. However what I do know is that if Shawn came at 90% of what he was in the 90s in the 212. He would decimate the field no question. Flex Lewis wouldn't even have a SMALL CHANCE to stand against Shawn.
Honestly I feel bad after saying that because Shawn is OFTEN a PAIN IN THE ASS, a real BATTY BOY, but that's the truth.
Besides, unless he can make at least 500k or 1million (through sponsors, adds etc) he would never go back to the stage. He is VERY HAPPY in his life right now, ears good amount of money, enjoy the pleasure of life and ice cream on the bitch, cause he's a fatty at heart and that's fine.Last edited by davidcua; 06-26-2016 at 03:45 AM.

I don't think Shawn would do the 212............... his ego couldn't take it.
The problem is 90's Shawn would be too small for today's stage and if he tried to add additional size he would ruin his physique in the way a lot of the current guys have theirs.
It's the same reason Shawn gave for retiring in the first place. He was all about class and bodybuilding just became all about mass, the criteria changed away from what he was all about and he knew he could not win the game the way it was being played.. Time has shown he was right all those years ago when he said that bodybuilding being all about mass was going in the wrong direction.
A broken clock is always right twice a day too.

Of course he could come back. Now if we're talking about coming back and being a threat to any lineup, that's a different story.

I've mentioned him earlier, so yes, I really believe that Ray would even have greater come back potential than Levrone if he wanted to hit the stage again.
He never torn anything or had a serious injury from what I've heard at least. Plus that he never maxed out his full potential, or went beyond it, and because of it got burned out like Yates or Coleman and even Levrone in to some extent in the end.

We'd all love to see the guys from the 90s comeback but they wont and they shouldn't. There is a reason people retire. And when guys take YEARS off from training seriously, they look and respond very differently

Yes.
If someone paid him XYZ dollars he'd be on it, but no one's going to pay him enough to motivate him to hit the gym, watch his meals, and supplement accordingly.
I'd love to see him do it, though. For all his "Strength & Honor" bullshit, for as annoying and backstabbing as he seems to be, Ray always had a tremendous physique.
Can you imagine Levrone battling Ray at a Masters Olympia? Throw Dexter, Dennis James, who else in the mix? Stage it in NYC instead of Vegas, please.Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | Join Rx Muscle on Facebook!

Not a fan of the man, but can't argue against his physique.
