Is this sport to blame?
I did only one cycle for 12 weeks of cypionate. Fast forward 3 years and a slew of hcg/clomid/novadex and doc believes it was in fact the cyp.
I have been tested prior to cycling and my sperm count was 70 million
Now only 2 million.
I curse this sport every day for what it did to my endocrine system in terms of damaging my sperm/semen production. My wife is extremely disappointed and as am I.
Please help. Don't wanna be hitting my 40s and still trying. Doctors say there is hardly hope and try zink???
Wtf?????
I really want kids. Don't wanna be that loser that has dogs and cats to fill the void. to

I like to take responsibility for my own actions rather than blame someone or something else. The sport is not to blame.
That said, check out Dave Palumbo's thoughts on the topic @ https://youtu.be/673Z-pIXD4k

Sorry to hear the bad news, Joe. While I can understand how upset both you and your wife must be, I'm not sure how you can blame bodybuilding for this. Regardless of what types of behavior the bodybuilding sport/lifestyle may promote- we all make our own decisions.
We must reap the benefits and/or suffer the consequences for our own decisions.
I wish you and your wife the best and hope that you are able to get your body back to normal so that you can start a family.

Don't know if you can blame bodybuilding but you can blame the cypionate. Check out IVF and IUI etc, once you have sperm you can have children.
I don't see bodybuilding as a sport anyway. Its a measure, at least in part, of how much gear you can and are willing to take. After that its a beauty contest.
Old fashioned physique culture is closer to a sport were being strong, athletic, could do acrobatics etc was as important as the beauty contest.

gotta know what your putting in your body...that's up to you to do the research but I also think the culture pushes ppl towards these substances without enough information given....just look at all the bro science that gets tossed around like it's gospel, so if the "experts" don't know what they are talking about, how can the everyday joe shmo have a clue

this question is akin to asking if you should sue fast food chains for making u obese after a lifetime of consumption....no you did it to yourself...all the potential risks have been documented and have been readily available for well over 20yrs now...hopefully proper medical help can be sourced and things are turned around for you

Everything everyone else said. YOU put it in, you're to blame.

You decided to use hormones without the supervision of a doctor. You didn't think there would be risks to involved?

Couple more thoughts.
Your doc, like our GP's here, is NOT an endocrine expert.
Secondly, I see more and more posts the longer I'm on the net. They're of the 'live fast, die young' attitude... then three years later it's all 'a buddy died from od'ing'... 'I wished I hadn't done drugs', 'I regret my tattoo's + will it effect my job prospects' etc etc. LOL
And ONE cycle?? Pfft.06, 08, 09 and now 2010 British (4x) and 2008/2010 European Grip Champion (2x)

Try squatting and deadlifting. On a serious note, weed will keep you from having kids for years I heard

PFA has a point. People often blame one thing but neglect to mention lots of other factors.

How long have you been trying to have children? While 70 million to 2 million IS a big drop, it only takes 1. I'd say keep trying and good luck to you!

No it's not... blame your shitty genetics and age. Age is the biggest killer of sperm. I know plenty of guys shooting their girl's club on while on boatloads of gear
