Dave, the last name tattooed on the back is a redneck football thing.

    Pretty dumb.

There is nothing dumb about being proud of your family's name.

Well Mr. James, I never said being proud of ones family name is dumb, I said that getting a generic tattoo that millions of other people have is dumb. I alone have FOUR childhood friends who have that exact name-across-the-back tattoo. All football playin country boys just like Dallas. They even have it in that same type of print, also in blue. The more I think about it the more it just kinda seems strange.

Like pretty much every tattoo? I mean how many tattoos are unique? You have your tramp stamp, your barbed wire, your portraits, your animal paw prints, dolphins, spider webs, what? Tattooing your family name seems respectful to me... anything but dumb.

hahaha to each his own. I cant think of many things that I would consider dumber than a "me too" tattoo.

There is physiological reasoning behind people reaffirming their existence and place in the world by tattooing their name on their body. It reflects a lack of confidence and a need to try and lay down ones identity.

Anyway Dallas needs to worry more about the amount of muscle on his back than what's inked across it. His back is his weakest body part from what I can see.

Maybe you perceive a lack of confidence in someone with their own name tattooed on their back, arm, neck, whatever, but that's an individual perspective, right?

I'm sure someone's out there who has the ultimate in confidence and is rocking a back tattoo or their name.

    -_-

No, I don't have my name tattooed on my back.
