Eddie Hall deadlifts 500-kilos / 1100lbs
Regardless of the strongman rules allowing for the use of straps to reinforce the grip Eddie Hall proved last night that he can lay claim to the strongest back in history. Nods from the first to 1000lbs Andy Bolton - 'good lift' and being up against the only other man to ever pull 1000lbs+ Benedikt Magnússon he killed the record by lifting a new world record 465-kilos (check any videos for it's amazing speed of pull) and then, in a jump of 35-kilos many said was too much, too big, pulled the historic 500-kilos.
Those of you with a knowledge of the history of strength will know this just set a new standard for others to aim for.
Eddie - you're the king. Well done mucker06, 08, 09 and now 2010 British (4x) and 2008/2010 European Grip Champion (2x)
