Kevin Levone's Genetics - Phil, Kai and the Rest Don't Come Close
Take out the insulin, the GH and shopping trolly doses of steroids and the bloated muscle boys of today's would be nowhere in a 1990's line up.
When Kevin flexed he doubled in size. It was all about the illusion not the weighing scale like today. When the current guys flex what happens............yeah as many have said.....fuck all.
How many guys with ordinary genetics blowing up to 300lbs do we have to see, even at the amateur level, to realize it's now garden variety achievable with the right protocol, to get to a truly massive size. A lot of people keep saying it, including of course Arnold, but why are we not seeing the shape, proportions and aesthetics of the really great bodybuilders of previous decades.
I hope Kevin makes it onto the stage cause the Olympia really needs his type of class. Even if he is not the biggest man on stage I have no doubt his flawless genetics will put more than a few of today's pro's in the shade and in doing so put some context on the current state of men's bodybuilding and the Mr Olympia.

5x Mr Olympia Phil Heath. Do genetics matter when you are the champ?

guys in the 90's would get smoked by todays bodybuilders....phil would crush a 100% leverone....not sure why everyone likes to pretend that back in the day the guys were better...haha they are only better in your mind not in reality

The only aspect today's guys are superior is in their weight on the weighing scales.
There are guys today with great genetics but they don't seem to care about proportion, symmetry, balance etc. As Arnold said a 23 inch neck and 17 inch calves isn't what its all about.

Dorian looks a lot better than the insulin blow ups of today. At least he got himself into condition before he stepped on stage and his muscle looked dense and real not like today's guys who look like they are connected up to an air pump.
Shawn Rhoden is one of the best today..........how would he look standing beside Flex Wheeler???

Hard to find too many bodybuilders in history more conditioned than "grainy" Dorian. Munzer I would put ahead but there aren't many.
I thought the problem some people have with Rhoden is he doesn't have a back.
Do you not think even in that bad photo of Flex he still has the 3-D thing seriously going on.
