Do you gain more from reps or poundages?
I love the 4-6 but do you see growth from it?

This excerpt is from the June 2011 of FLEX magazine by Jim Stoppani...."Light weight for high reps. Light weight wins for its ability to stimulate protein synthesis and prevent injuries."

My best natty growth (size and strength) happened when I was doing 5x5s.
Best (and only to this point) enhanced (6 weeks of SuperDMZ 2.0 in 2010) growth was with DoggCrapp training.Last edited by BigZero; 07-22-2016 at 07:42 PM.

IMO it's different for everyone. I remember one study saying it was something like the 4-12 rep range for growth. But who knows! Were they experienced lifters? What was their diet? What was the training split? I know that most times I do a 1RM I end up hurting. I'm no power lifter I just like to test the waters sometimes. Personally I prefer the 10-20 rep range. Not because I think it's optimal, just because I enjoy it. So I do that a lot. I know my shoulders seem to grow no matter what, and my calves seem to NOT grow no matter what haha.

No matter what rep range or program I'm using my genetically superior body parts always stand out and grow and get stronger faster than the others, that's enhanced or not.
For me it's about progressive weight training, every workout the goal is to beat the log book, either increase reps or increase weight, every workout! It's a war each and every workout!!!

DC training seems to be the most effective routine for me, it's currently the end of July and I've made progress every workout since February training DC...
