Show day breakfast
What does everyone have on show day for breakfast?
I've heard some say pancakes and eggs but what sort of pancakes?
Some say oats but wouldn't you want to minimise water?
Got my first competition next weekend and just wondering everyone's thoughts are on this.
The remainder of the day I've planned on having small meals every 2-2.5 hrs of chicken & rice with a rice cake & Tbsp almond butter.

My show day breakfast has always been plain chicken breast and oats, more of a snack size than a full meal. The oats are eaten dry/uncooked. And only sips of water until after prejudging. Tastes like cardboard but honestly I don't care, it works like a charm for me. I have a full show day meal plan but that's how I roll up to prejudging. Others may have a different approach, there is no one size fits all here.
Because it's your first show, make sure you don't add a food you haven't tested first, so that it doesn't bloat you because your body isn't used to it. I've seen too many first-time competitors ruin a great prep by ingesting a food at the last minute that their bodies weren't used to.

Unless you are 5'7" and 240 pounds, the last thing you need to worry about is water. I like at least 32 oz of fluid before I step on stage. I would drink more but I don't want to sweat my tan off. This factor is my only motivation behind at least a little water restriction. Eats some eggs, bacon, home fries (with ketchup and salt), and a couple cups of coffee. Drink a coke an hour before you pump up. As a precaution I take 1/2a diazide after prejudging and drink 32oz of iced tea. I personally have never looked as good on contest day as I have in the gym 10 days out before I started screwing with shit. Eat normal Friday but cut your normal water by 20%.
