Dave´s Keto: Lost 13 pounds in 7 days??
Hello Everyone I am big fan of Dave and the RX Muscle community and this is my first post looking for guidance from other users.
I have a question about the keto diet Dave recommends...
I recently ended a pretty lean bulking face and and decided to start cutting with the Palumbo's keto diet last Monday at 252 pounds of body weight.
I did the diet Dave gave away for 250 pounds plus man with the whole six omega 3 eggs, etc... today is my seventh day on the diet, no cheat meal yet and I've added more training days to my week, went from 3 workouts per week up to 5 with 2 25 min. sessions of slow steady cardio (walking under 120 bpm) twice a day, every day... drinking lots of water, etc...
The thing is that I weighted myself for the first time after starting the diet this morning and I was surprised to see that my weight went from 252 pounds last Sunday morning to 239 pounds this morning! that is a 13 pounds lost in 7 days.
I have never lost weight that fast while dieting... was all that water weight? or muscle I have lost... at 252 I was able to see my abs so I don´t think I was holding that much water... but who knows, most probably I was...
Any thoughts and/or recommendations from you experience will be much appreciated. Should I do a cheat meal?

I wanted to say that after freaking out for the great weight loss, I am happy about how I look, I am definitely lighter but I am looking tighter and the abs are showing a lot at 239 pounds which might mean that I could pick a lot heavier than the last time I got cut...
I also have to say that I am really happy with this diet, I am never hungry or craving for carbs. I don't feel the need of a cheat meal yet and will try to go with out one as far as possible...
My current cycle is *per week
1000 mg Test Prop.
600 mg EQ
400 Deca
Arimidex EOD
I am removing the Deca this week because I used for bulking for 12 weeks and I am adding Tren Ace 50 mg EOD and at some point will also add Masteron at 100 mg EOD
This week I am cutting my cardio back to only 30 min on an empty stomach see how it goes with the weight loss at the end of the week and will adjust as necessary...

Without digging into the details here I can say right off the bat that you probably lost a ton of water and glycogen from starting keto.
If you keep dropping like that then yes thats too quick of a pace and I would suggest slowing it down but this is pretty common initially with keto.A Passionate and Dynamic Approach to Physique Enhancement

Every time I jump on keto, I loose 10 pounds in the first 7-8 days. As stated above, all water and glycogen. It takes at least 2 weeks before I notice real fat loss.

Thanks guys, I think you are both right. last week I only lost 3 pounds went from 239 to 236 and I feel good. Funny thing my lifts are getting better, I feel stronger and more energetic, which I love.
Today is my 17th day on the diet. No cheat meals yet. Does the once a week cheat meal Dave recommends helps with the fat loss, or he recommends that to keep people sane? I have strong mind I won´t cheat if I don´t need to... what are your thoughts on that?Last edited by The Rainman; 09-28-2016 at 11:57 AM.

Totally normal i would say throw the cheat meal in every 7 days or so now to keep metabolism humming
And damn 1000 prop i would be too horny to function in the world lol

Trust me I know what you are talking about and my wife does too LOL... and when I start the masteron it will get worst!
