Like I said I am not a big believer in supplements. I remember the Weider weight gain powers in the 1980's that seemed to be basically granulated sugar.
Snake oils salesmen have been around forever and a fool is easily parted from his money. Maybe people should be protected from themselves or maybe unscrupulous types should be allowed to run amok scamming people, I know which one I'd prefer to see happen. If I was giving a young guy advice I would tell him to eat real food and stay away from supplements.

Being the largest seller of protein, Optimum Nutrition is probably the biggest scammer, their Gold Standard 100% Whey is actually only 74% protein. https://labdoor.com/rankings/protein

Are you serious?? I'll assume you are. Firstly if it was ONLY whey it would have zero flavorings, coloring or sweeteners aka unflavored whey. So this really means it's only source of protein comes from whey.
Secondly whey concentrate (not isolate) comes in varying percentages. From a crappy 40% (used in baking) to the more supplement industry standard of 80-82%.
So, if it's an 80% (80% of the whey concentrate is protein) then adding flavor etc will, all quite legally, reduce it to a low, but quite respectable, 74%. So it's by no means a scam. If anything it's a solid product. A touch low but not unusual for chocolate (due to most having cocoa powder added too). And here's the biggest shocker... I go and look and two or three of the flavors actually come back ON THEIR LABEL as 74%. So you're saying it tested out as being what the label said. Again are you serious??
I'd ignore the name or, as per some names, I'd want an actual taste of the place called Devon in Devon Cream... and so on.Last edited by Mobster; 10-12-2016 at 01:47 PM.

I see that Aaron and Pee Jay are in the lead ! Good scammers, they can be proud! Especially Aaron for teaming up with a former big Benzo/SSRI dealer
David Cua also called Donald Pump known for "making bodybuilding great again" !

Correct
Labdoor is not a very reliable source at all.
They rank some products very high found of protein spiking, and some products that meet 3rd party claims very low. They are very inaccurate and incosistent
Their CEO even stated:
'A supplement that claims 30g of protein and delivers 25g will beat one that claims 20g of protein and delivers 20g."
So they are ranking protein products that are spiked, dont meet label claims higher because they deliver more protein per serving, yet they dont meet label claims
Valid.. Not even once.
Labdoor does not test for 3rd party vendors or validate COA's from companies who test true to their label.2013 & 2014 RX Member of the Year

Just like i Stated in my response you quoted
have a 3rd party vendor test the product and get a COA showing you exact label contents
For example this is one done overseas on cellucor cor whey showing it meets label claims
Here is another one for PES Select whey:
http://www.stack3d.com/2014/11/pes-s...certified.html
As you can see a lot of those on the list were found guilty and did not meet label claims:

Who is taking out these lawsuits?
Is this supplement companies suing each other?

Click on the links it gives you further details
just like how Ron Kramer goes after people who put nitrates in their products but don't pay him for the patent.
recently Jim stoppani who had bodybuilding exclusive products were selling in GNC which breached his contract so there is a big ongoing issue and lawsuit regarding that2013 & 2014 RX Member of the Year

They are also not meeting label claims which is a FDA offense. Meaning what they are putting on the label is one false information to their customers, 2 not correct information on their product, and 3 not meeting label claims.
If there were 0 reprucssions for mis-labeling then the entire industry would because they could sell the product for cheaper then what the raw materials cost to make the product.
Thats horrible business ethics from a company standpoint and turns away consumers from doing so.
All of those links I posted above were sued and taken to court regarding mislabeling. If you recall MuscleTech had a huge recall on their phase 8 protein powder or anyone who purchased it, and they reimbursed anyone who purchased because it did not come close to what was labeled on the tub. and the company lost millions of dollars in doing so.2013 & 2014 RX Member of the Year
