Transitioning to keto during contest prep
Hello everyone,
I am in the last 2&3 weeks of my contest prep and I'm trying to lean out more. I really want to give keto a shot but I have never done it before and I am looking for some guidance. I'm hoping for some tips. The help is much appreciated thank you!
Current meal plan is
3 oz chicken
6 strawberries
3oz sweet potato
3 oz chicken
1/2 cup rice
same for meal 3
3oz turkey
4 oz sweet potato
3 egg whites
1 1/2 cup water melon.
I add asparagus to most if not all the meals

If you are 2-3 weeks out, I would not throw your body a huge curveball with something you have never done before. That is like saying on peak week you want to do something fancy to try and bring your best. Most cases it won't work or you may not react well to it. I would simply slowly lower your kcals to get the last bit of fat off you, or if you are ready then slowly increase food and eat into the show to help fill out
If you need to drop a bit drop carbs from one of the meals if you have been training well and responding well, no need to go carbless and think its going to work magic. It may help, it may be a total backfire. No reason to risk anything that drastic the last few weeks.2013 & 2014 RX Member of the Year
