Would the Champion still remain the Champion???
I watched a video recently on youtube titled 'Pumping for Gold', its from 1988 i think....? Samir Bannout was speaking in a part of it about steroids. Admiting to taking them etc and saying that he believes most if not all of the other guys were jucing too (as expected), and said he only used steroids to reduce the catabolic effect.
One thing he did say was, ''if you eliminate anabolic steroids from all the athletes at one time, the champion will still remain the champion ''.
Leaving my opinion out of it, what do you guys think? Would the Champion still remain the Champion????

good point! the champion would still be the champion, huh! not to sure that be true because if 1 guy is takin the best possible stuff and takes plenty of it and places first and another guy who MIGHT be just as good a bb but cant afford or has not got the knowledge of the other guy to get the right stuff places fifth, just a thought

wow this mind boggling. something to really think about. alot of the top pro's are genetic freaks and take all the right stuff, but that would be interesting to see who would be on top if they were all not on gear

good video, however its unfair to say they would still be champions, as they HAD to use to become a champion. So without that extra edge, it's anyones guess who could win. That's only limited to who's got the stronger genetics at that point

I think the champions, Yates,Coleman,Sergio,Arnold ,etc. tend to have better genetics so I think this is true in certain cases if the playing field was everyone was juice free. But I'm not sure a tiny guy like Lee Priest would have done as well without juice.

Hmmm, some interesting points, my opinion, i think it would be completely diff except for maybe big ron. This also asks another question, if the top natural guys (if they are actually natural) were to do gear from 17/18 like a lot of pros, which one of them would have done well in IFBB?
Oh and one other thing, look at frank zane, the guy didnt break 200lbs and won the my olympia, so maybe a lighter guy in the best condition would have won more often drug free.......?????

First off, Samir's "reson" for talking steriods is BULLSHIT and Second yes I do believe the champions will still be the champions for the most part, because of their work ethic and determination
