When you go to your typical supplement store, you have 4 main proteinsupplements available to purchase:
    1. A whey protein
    2. A casein protein
    3. A egg protein
    4. A vegetable protein such as soy, hemp, brown rice, gemma pea, or alfalfa

Out of all the protein choices available, the gold stand is whey protein. It has the highest bioavailability and best amino acid profile. There are two main types of whey protein available: a whey protein isolate and a whey protein concentrate. The problem with a whey protein concentrate is that it will contain a few grams of lactose (the milk sugar naturally occurring in dairy products) per serving. The majority of adult humans have a lactose sensitivity which can cause GI issues like gas, bloating and diarrhea. A whey protein isolate on the other hand is essentially pure protein and will have only trace amounts of lactose.

When purchasing a whey protein isolate you want to see nothing in the ingredients list besides whey protein isolate, natural flavours, a natural calorie free sweetener like stevia and maybe some salt, cocoa powder and soy lecithin.

Some of the UK buyers prefer a sunflower lecithin overt the soy version.

And while the majority of adults do indeed suffer from a mild lactose issue the amount most would get from whey (based on typical usage) wouldn't get problems with a WPC.

not true at all. there are plenty of people who cannot go near concentrate due to digestion issues.

I used to use a protein from Costco called LeanFit before I found N2BM. I literally got the shits from this product. Needless to say I threw it out and never used a whey concentrate again. It is funny to because I have never been sensitive to dairy/lactose before but the whey concentrate just kills me. My favourite is Columbian Espresso.

It IS true. You realize we're saying the same thing right?

There are 300+ million living in the US for example. 30m are supposed to train regularly. If half used supps and that included a protein powder that's 15m. 90% use a scoop or two per day. I'm a far bigger user and as you're on RX you probably use more than 1-2 scoops a day. There's more lactose in a pint of semi-skimmed (about 19g of protein) than there is in a scoop of whey. So if, as I do, I got 200+g of protein from milk I'd be shitting all day. If I get that from whey (as I do + plus food) I do not.

'Plenty of people' from my rough calculation might be hundreds of thousands of 'heavy' users who can't use high levels of WPC but that's f'all compared to the other many hundreds of thousands who can't. And that's not allowing for the vast majority, as said, who don't use what we do.

Then, as you can check for yourself, you can go on any forum like this and it's not even 1 in ten asking for alternatives like Hemp, Goat etc as well as WPI.
