Btw everybody, please don't put rags into the mouths of people who are actively seizing. They don't need restraining or anything in the mouth. If they keep seizing they need to be rolled onto the left side, (recovery position) mouth gently suctioned and given O2. Not taking away from Guy, (he's the fuckin man!) but if statis epilepticus calls for an advanced airway adjunct put in place from EMS, if a rag has any small fibrous part of it get stuck in the airway, it could interfere with intubation and ventilation.

Would it be worse on Chads part if he knew Dallas genuinely had broncitis and Chad still advised Dallas to take a diutetic?

We don't know what Chad advised him but I'd put money on Dallas downplaying his illness, calling it a cold when speaking w/Chad, bc he wants this so badly. For all we know, Dallas is yet another 20something with the mindset of, "if a little works, a lot is better" when it comes to anything-whether it be training, sodium depletion etc. We've all heard of competitors, even pros, who go around asking everyone for input and add shit in on top of the gurus advice. I don't think we should point fingers at gurus when adults are perfectly capable of educating themselves on the substances they should or shouldn't take and the risks vs benefits.

As soon as the drama surrounds "friends" of RX, this place becomes more sycophantic than MD. Everyone making excuses, suddenly pretending they don't understand basic science (yeah seizures from a chest infection...). Chad and Dallas both fucked up, Shawn rightfully called them out.
As much of an annoying dweeb the guy is, his play by plays are generally much more honest to read than anyone else's (including RX) because he doesn't suck up to anyone, maybe because no one likes him anyway.Last edited by nzgs; 03-22-2017 at 08:48 AM.

I'm favoring Bostin's opinion more than Dave's here... not saying Dallas wasn't sick, but as others have pointed out, to be sick AND take directics is probably not the best idea. I just hope he went home immediately and went to his own doctor or admit himself to a hospital so that if in fact he does have this infection, that it doesn't develop into pneumonia... that would also validate his claim that he was sick... If he was still hanging around in Australia after the show, then to me that makes his claim less credible.
And what of this specific diuretic Bostin said Chad uses... Is this a commonly used? Is it as safe as others? Or is this part of his proprietary secret sauce that he uses to build his brand?Last edited by PTB; 03-22-2017 at 09:57 AM.

Who even knows if this is truly information or just speculation/gossip. Demodex vs Lasix is just about the longer active duration of the former. It's a "newer" drug for the same purpose.

Safe? Sure, as safe as lasix. "Newer" drug being relative. It's been around for a couple decades.
ALL diuretics are contraindicated for dehydration and hypovolemia.Last edited by baby muscle; 03-22-2017 at 10:17 AM.

My take on loop diuretics is that they are also contraindicated in people with thiazide hypersensitivity so try that first and see how you do is my thought- you wouldn't know if you had thiazide sensitivity unless you had taken thiazides before so if you run into problems....you don't know what you know until you run into problems. What 25 year old has tried thiazides ? Except for some bodybuilders I guess....

Dude, I don't think he had a seizure. I wasn't there but he would've shit himself. I've seen hundreds of true seizures. Only one out of hundreds was not incontinent. Most true seizure activity is followed by incontinence and a postictal state where person is incoherent and confused-Like-doesn't know their own birthday.
In the US he would've been scooped up and carried to an ED while "seizing". Likelier he was having severe muscle spasms, not same thing at all but if you don't practice medicine, you don't necessarily know what each looks like. Not Guys fault at all, he just wanted to help.Last edited by baby muscle; 03-22-2017 at 10:33 AM.

Could be. I bet Dave knows how much he took. I know Dave recommends half of 1 thiazide the night before, half the morning of. MAYBE another half a little later and that's it. Anymore and you might be overdoing it. Or maybe he followed it to a T and still had problems. Some people do. I did but I didn't know at the time that I had another medical issue going on as well. And that's what sometimes kills people is combining drugs with interactions or unknown previous medical histories , etc.
I recently read that some psychiatric medications are contraindicated with certain diuretics. Unless your coach is an MD, how the hell would a person know the risks unless they did their own research? Then when they're dead, everyone points fingers at the coach, the "dangerous steroids", the diuretic, but in reality you don't know what else they were taking or recreationally using. Cialis can make you hypotensive too for petes sake.
