This is correct. Its classified as a broader form of BDD although the definition and criteria were updated in the DSM-V. Prior to that it was classified as BDD subtype, with OCD tendency. I wrote a paper for psycho-pathology years ago when I was studying Uottawa.

In Canada the drug is still sched 3, so there are no ramifications owning. I don't see a high criminal ring or a higher rate of suicidal youth using steroids in Canada. I agree that there should be some type of control but I wonder how much sensationalism went into the anti steroid use propaganda of the 80's.
