Maybe he should have worked on wall street and stole millions of dollars from people's retirement funds then the judge would have given him 6 months probation. Drug laws should be abolished it's a way to keep people of lower income trapped. He needed rehabilitation for addiction not 10 years prison time.

The gateway drug is sugar. That is the first thing an infant gets addicted to. But postindustrial society depends on addicting us to as many things as possible. The majority these days are addicted to text messaging, sugar/fat/salt (otherwise known as "fast food"), their favorite TV programs, & loads of other things that encourage OCD. I'm not preaching here. I'm addicted to YouTube.

It's the lack of effective legal representation (mainly public defenders, & prosecutors who trade a heavier charge with a lighter charge the defendant is blackmailed into admitting to), & the tendency of white juries to sympathize less with black defendants (especially black men who scare them). It doesn't help that laws have been passed, then strengthened, then strengthened again, during election years when lawmakers need to show their constituents they're tough on crime & are "saving their children" (that's how laws against steroids have been amped up).
When we declare war on something (like cancer, drugs, or AIDS), you can be sure that the industries at the forefront are doing their best NOT to end the war--their profits & political control would end. That's also the reason our undeclared wars in the Middle East & Afghanistan don't end as well.

Fuck him. He got off easy with 10 years....he got a break the first time he was caught trafficking from the Grace of God and he rebuked him in return. Sorry but he earned his way into free room and board. I can't feel sorry for someone who continues to fuck up his life with poor choices in life

Call me an enabler or a liberal or whatever, but at times, hey, it's just not a choice.
It's an addiction.
The EMTs don't say, "Oh, fuck him. He overdosed last month. Let's just keep it rollin'. I think there's someone worthy to rescue across town."
So, while you're welcome to your opinion, Vince, you're wrong.Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | Join Rx Muscle on Facebook!
