Don't agree. Kai is controlling his own destiny now. More power to him.

Competing is good for his brand and for bodybuilding. Hopefully he puts pen to paper soon.
Arnold should hire Greene to block Heath from winning his 7th Olympia. Or he could pay off Hany to sabotage Heath with the wrong advices.- BODYBUILDING -

Big Beat, I have kicked back up an interview with Kai earlier this year that was posted. Rather than repost, I'll refer you to that. Be warned it runs half an hour. But listening to it convinced me that Kai knows the direction he is going in. If you have time to watch it, I'd like to know your view of it. (It's on the thread by JohnnyStyles, "Kai Greene going to the gym every day.")
A phenom of the last few years is men who are promoting themselves in social media rather than onstage. The biggest problem w/ competitions is that it produces a lot of losers--& you're only as good as your last competition to the fan base. Also, competitions generally profit someone else rather than you, & I mean the payoff. Unless it's one of the top two shows that you win (Mr. O & Arnold Classic), it's not much money. Kai has realized he'll never win the Mr. O. That leaves the Arnold Classic, but with a solid seasoned group competing (along w/ the cream of the new crop), the sacrifices involved in prep at that level may not be worth it financially. He's got a good gig right now w/ new handlers who can monetize him, but ultimately his fan base wants to see him compete. The only person who's been able to monetize himself substantially offstage is Rich Piana, & look what he had to do to accomplish that. At least Kai knows his fate is in his hands, not the IFBB's.Last edited by hifrommike65; 05-29-2017 at 12:34 PM.

I just got an opportunity to listen to the Kai video. If I am honest I thought Kai said very little in the interview of any substance which made the interviewers job harder than it needed to be. It was the usual meaningless long winded garbage that most people have come to expect from Kai. Dorian says more in 2 minutes than Kai says in 2 weeks.
I think Kai tries to sound intelligent but all he say is work hard and aspire. The interviewer had to work hard to try and generate questions that were simple for Kai to answer but still Kai could not string a coherent sentence together.
I don't mind Kai at all but the only time I am impressed with him is when he is standing on a bodybuilding stage.

Kai is confused about his sexuality.
Kai is confused about his upbringing.
Kai is confused about competing or not competing.
Kai confuses himself when he tries to sound philosophical.
This is a guy that cries his way through his spolen word show. Its more like a psychotherapy session. Kai should go on Dr Phil, maybe he could deceipher what the fuck Kai is trying to say.
In saying all that Kai is eccentric and harmless. What he is not is a guy who has worked out his demons and has clear ideas about what he is doing.

Kai is one of the most interesting current pro male BBs. Let's hope he doesn't end up like Mike Mentzer.

There is nothing special about that physique. He looked great when he was natural. He could have dominated the classic bodybuilding or physique class. Now he looks like a mess.
