Oddly enough, this whole shebang made me more sympathetic w/ both Mac & Rich. They revealed their human sides & they're not so different from average guys after all.

IMO nobody should be using the word. I'm black and don't use the word at all. Don't get me wrong I use to say it all the time when I was in my teens. When I got to College I called a older African man the N word in Hip Hop way and we rearrange the class room. The light cut on that day. If a white person was to call me the N word it would not be in a Hip Hop way and we both know it. I would be in a derogatory way or why else would they call me that. Is there no other word in the English dictionary that can insult someone.

Agreed! I'm white and as a young child I heard a couple of guys talking, using that word (NOT in a nice way) and my Father looked me in the eyes as stern and intimidating as could be and said..If I ever hear you say that word I will beat the living daylights out of you. He never raised a hand to me but the way he felt about that word stuck in my mind forever. I don't and won't ever use it. I'm offended when I hear it said by anyone. I'm involved in a small way in the music industry and I have to hear that word in every hip hop song some times over 100 times a song. Just yesterday I has to listen to a bunch of demos and it was as if that was the only word they knew. I'm sick of it. Ok enough...NEXT topic please.
