Default Erection issues: Relieved at low testosterone

Lately I've been having trouble maintaining erections during intercourse.

I had my annual physical where they measured total but not free testosterone. It was on the low side, but still "within range" so my doctor didn't want to pursue further, but did suggest if I want to pursue further, to go to a urologist.

I went to the urologist, who grilled me on some questions, and while he said he ordered that blood test for free testosterone, he actually thought my issues may be more psychological than physical, and assumed performance anxiety, and recommended my next course of action was to see a sex therapist.

The main reason being, he asked whether I had morning erections, which he said was a key sign that my free testosterone levels are normal.. I said I yes, but actually that was incorrect.... Bottom line, I wasn't paying attention, in part because I typically have sex with my wife upon waking... call us weird, but in our household, with 3 active teenagers, we have a very small window during the day to have sex, which is in the early morning, after they leave for school, so if I did have an erection, it was more due to arousal in anticipation for it, rather than desire or high test levels.

I paid more attention following the visit and sure enough, I wasn't having them much at all.

The results of the blood work came back, and in fact my free test is low... I was actually relieved... The fact of low free test is much easier to deal with than having to deal with some mental issues I need to go to a therapist for and spill my guts.... that's not to say a therapist may not be helpful, if not now, than in the future.... for both me and my wife.... but I'd rather start HRT first and see what happens.

PTB I know when I got on it wasn't as much an erection issue as a desire level. Before I was like sex ...Ok whatever and after a month or so on test and I do think it is important when taking low dose (as in 100mg a week)to give it some time but after a month or two I was constantly ready as in humping the wife's leg while she was in the kitchen trying to cook and such.I think if you get erections but can't maintain it could even be an estrogen issue.I dont know much about that but someone like Heavyiron could explain it.Or just get some Cialis. That stuff seems to work for most everyone.

Daddy's little helper in the form of 25 to 50 mg make all the difference. Sometimes a cockring helps.

If your testosterone level measures in the normal range, raising it through testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) probably won't help your ED. Instead, you'll have to look for an address other causes.

While many men on TRT do report improvements in their erections, they often need added help from ED drugs known as PDE-5 inhibitors, such as:

    Generic Viagra (sildenafil)
    Sildenafil (Vidalista)
    Tadalafil (Vidalista)

I'm assuming your referring to VIAGRA?

oh yes. and for extended play, 1/2 of a cialis under the tongue , and hour or two before play. then 30 minutes before the fun starts 25 mg of viagra. that gives you the wood you need for the immediate fun plus the benefit of play later on and no need to take another little blue pill. i suggest dissolving them under the tongue instead of swallowing. it gets into the system much faster if under the tongue.

I'm a big fan of VIAGRA myself. I like that it works fast (30-45min) and typically keeps me going 5-6 hours.

If your free testosterone is low, please ask your doctor to order an estradiol level. Estrogen acts as a steroid binding globulin. Therefore, you would have less free testosterone. If your estrodiol level is high ask your doctor for an Arimidex prescription.
