100% agree w/ Big Beat. Kai wasn't given anything; he earned this invite with service to the IFBB, which needs him, as do we.

Funny thing about Lui Marco is that he followed the money. I watched his YouTube channel or content years and years ago when he had nothing to do with the IFBB. His channel was all about food and natural bodybuilding. No steroids was his angle, but you see where he's at now. Switched his focus to suck up the clicks and those AdSense dollars. Who could blame him, but it says something about his crediblity, imo. I mean he started building his channel on the idea that natty was awesome and then swung over to IFBB coverage (I'm guessing) to earn some serious money (guessing again).

But on topic Kai Greene special invite...

People -- fans and competitors alike... or some of them -- complained about Levrone's special invite. "He didn't earn it!" and "Why should he be able to just walk in off the street?" That kind of sentiment.

Well, if Kai does accept the invite, isn't it the same thing? Won't there be a big fat asterisk if he wins the title? And would he be the first Sandow recipient who received it by way of a win associated with a gift? Of course, Kai has earned the opportunity to compete, but you just have to know that people, at least some (probably Phil included) are going to call foul whether Kai wins or not.

I agree that Kai has earned his status in the IFBB, but he was given the invite. I mean, he chose to sit out the O these last how many years? Meanwhile, other competitors have stood by the federation and competed, raw deal or not. Is Kai worth more to the federation than a Winklaar or a Branch Warren or a Dexter? Why should they have to qualify but Kai doesn't?

Easy answer, right? As you stated, Mike, "Kai got on network TV and" and has that "reputation in the mainstream" so he's indeed worth more in that regard. Still, at least by the rulebook, he's received a gift in the form of this special invite.

Is he worthy of it? I'd say yes. Can I see other competitors feeling treated poorly? Again, yes.

I'm sick of seeing his name on R.X, if he's not willing to compete year round like the rest of them do, then why the f&*k should he get special attention / invite? ...pi$$ him off from the sport and give someone the attention who deserves it!

Not sure which side of the seesaw I fall here. Kai is obviously popular enough to get a special invite, so there's no denying he's got the interest of the federation. But The Flash is right, why should he get any additional attention when there are competitors who haven't snubbed the show, who haven't rocked the boat, and who deserve the spotlight.

That special invite put a lot of eyes on Kai. Dave said Kai told him he'd never compete at the O again? Where does that leave Kai so far as competing? Is he going to reassess that comment? Was it said in the heat of the moment? Will people cheer or piss their pants if he steps on stage?

Will Kai get a fair shake if he does choose to accept the invite? Is that idea of training in secret and then just showing up in Vegas on the day something that would fly or would their be some drama if he just "Oh, hai!" in September?

And, let's say he competes and wins. Would there be an asterisk by his name because he didn't qualify? Would his Sandow be forever noted or commented as "Yeah, he won but he didn't actually qualify. They gave him a pass."

I would have thought winning the 2016 Arnold would have qualified Kai for the 2016 and 2017 Olympia, curious to dig into the points rules.

They have supplements that help reverse dementia if caught early enough.

There has to be a team in the NBA that would have benefited by having even an aged Jordan on their team. If not for shots then for coaching?

Did Arnold qualify for tye 1980 Mr O?Did he even fill ithe application form? The IFBB will always open their arms to a star.Talking about Levrone, he is ramping up the social media and I have to say he's drawing me right back in. Levrone is a cool guy there is something about him........he has the x-factor.Flex Wheeler's come backe I am interested in but Levrone makes we want to believe, believe he can do it one more time.
