I believe they did a make-up test on a female bodybuilder years ago (maybe it was Nicole Bass... can't recall). Also, they did a test with Bridgitte Nielsen seen here....

Thanks for that brain jogger, Puma!
What Might Have Been: While Shulkie has never appeared in a live action version, it almost happened. Marvel tried to make it a reality in the late 80s with Bridget Neilson in the lead role, got far enough to take a few concept photos, and it was even announced as a work in progress at the 1991 Cannes Film Festival. Unfortunately, due to lack of interest (and Marvel's terrible track record with movies at the time) the project fell apart.

Yeah, I'm aware of all the animated adaptations. She was also in a Fantastic Four episode on Cartoon Network, And, don't forget this appearance. which may have been her first.
I would not object to it.
Why I said what I said is because those weren't the only attempts to get her on live-action. In the original Incredible Hulk series, showrunner Kenneth Johnson tried to introduce a She-Hulk influenced character for season 5. But, the higher-ups object to that plan and scrapped the plan and later the series. There were also plans after the third Incredible Hulk TV-movie to include the She-Hulk character in the fourth TV-movie. However, after the death of Bill Bixby, those plans were scrapped as well. So, it leads to wonder, if we will ever see her in a live-action series.
You can say she is on the B or C (or, even D) list of Marvel's roll of Superheros. But, keep in mind, this era of superhero movies we are all enjoying now started when New Line Cinema released "Blade". A little known character from Marvel. That had never been adapted before. It became a Box-Office hit and spun two sequels and TV-series.
And, now that Marvel has put some their second-tier characters on Netflix. Why can't they do a series on She-Hulk? There isn't no excuse right now for them not to."Whats sauce for the gander is also sauce for the goose." - Unknown.

I'd put her no lower than B as she has had her own series and the John Byrne run was quite popular. Certainly among the women of Marvel she might even rank in the A list. Agreed that with the introduction of lesser known properties, it would be nice to see her but they seem to shy away from spin-off heroes a bit. With Iron Man being so popular we did see War Machine which was cool and we had Doc Samson in the last Hulk film though he never made it to his super-hero persona (and as one of my favorite characters, I was really hoping he would).

Just sent a couple birthday cards to friends & wanted to share them w/ Curt here.
An elderly woman pulls her glasses down her nose & looks shocked. (front of card)
"Sex at your age. That is astonishing. Happy birthday." (inside)
"It's your birthday! You know what that means." (front of card)
"Cake, you pervert!" (inside)
