Stephen A. Smith references Dallas and Rich Piana being associates of MMA star Jon "Bones" Jones.
Stephen A. Smith brings attention to both Dallas and Rich Piana on today's "First Take" in discussing Jon "Bones" Jones suspension for steroid use. Jon has been "associated" with these two, and apparently, he also tried to pin some of the blame on his failed drug test on GAT Nutrition, to which they put out a statement denying any responsibility.

Typical ignorance. The average person I meet thinks you buy steroids at supplement stores.
It would be like blaming a Columbian coca farmer when Bones was snorting cocaine. I'm positive GAT doesn't put Turinabol in their supplements.
GAT was a sponsor and he had sponsor obligations which involved bodybuilders. And even if he worked with someone like Dennis James, Jones is responsible for what he ultimately ingests.
If they don't want to cover bodybuilding then they shouldn't be blaming it when they wake up on days that their precious mainstream sports and mainstream athletes have let them down. Look in the mirror. And as Barry Bonds said, "Clean your own closet."
The doors to the bodybuilding closet are open.Last edited by MusclePoppins; 08-23-2017 at 08:41 PM.

I forgot to add one thing. Their focus should be on why the hell Jones would take an oral steroid between weigh-ins and fight night and if that's even plausible or if it's a mistake or a set-up. And Dana White shouldn't be talking about the end of his career yet. There's a second sample and a big closet to clean, which involves USADA.
Dallas McCarver and Rich Piana have nothing to do with Jon Jones.
Mainstream sports should be thanking bodybuilding for creating gyms and gym culture and for advancing their own athletes over the last six decades from fat, alcoholic, chain smokers who did jumping jacks before their seasons and relied on skill and repetition ... to finely-tuned multi-millionaires who do resistance training and focus on nutrition every day of their lives.- BODYBUILDING -
