Is Shanique Grant going to demolish Juliana Malacarne like Ronnie was about to demolish Dorian? Will Juliana tear a tricep or bicep just in time? Will ninjas save her from destruction? Or will Tonya Harding's ex-husband Jeff Gillooly resurface and hire two punks to take out Shanique's legs with police batons, a la Nancy Kerrigan? Or will the "three girls" who attacked and stabbed Shanique last year re-surface to keep her from another Olympia?

I follow Shanique on Instagram. She has been looking better and better as the O draws closer. Much as I love Juliana's look and in years past she was unbeatable, I think Shanique is a serious threat this year. Gonna be a great O!

While it's always good for the champ to actually have competition (cough cough Heath!), I don't know if one dramatic body part or trait is enough to dethrone physique that actually addresses all criteria in an aesthetic packge.

i also take issue with some of Shaniques presentation-she has a way to go with her posing and Juliana has been stepping it up, working with Oksana for choreography. Julianas movement is purposeful and graceful and Shanique seems rather clunky to me on stage. She just has to put in the years that Jules has in order to get to her level. There is literally, no substitute for experience. It is not just all about the physique.

The freaky dealts and tiny waist is really in vogue. It is a different look to the traditional shape but I'm not sure if its a complete look. It can flatter so much it can cover up weaknesses in some areas that are not as well developed


Juiliana has better legs, glutes and calves.

How much the judges reward the shoulder to waist ratio will have a big bearing on the outcome.

Agree. Shanique is an awesome talent. I adore her. But, she's so young. She doesn't have the years muscle maturity and training that Juliana has. And, as another poster has already noted. She still needs to work on her posing. Once, she has matured and gets on top of her posing. Shanique will rule. Until then, Juliana is still the queen.
