A personal trailer in a Texas gym a few years ago said she couldn't believe every man in the gym who was planning to compete quit his job about six months before the contest to prep it.

Bizarre if true. A buddy of mine was in hospital for a day and a half before a competition and the ambulance picked him up from the gym where he was working. He competed the following weekend and was back in the gym Monday.
When I compete I might have the day before off and an extra days leave on the Monday (I usually compete Saturday's) to recover. But quit work? Never.06, 08, 09 and now 2010 British (4x) and 2008/2010 European Grip Champion (2x)

Stanley, Stanley, Stanley - carrot not stick. A lot of online names are silly. I mean I could be silly and say that calling yourself stud says a lot.
Anyway...
The photo isn't in the slightest quite what you think. It's a sepia tint with a little photoshopped mesh of me closing a Ironmind Captain of Crush gripper in my fist. In the larger version you can make out 'CoC 4' cos I've closed one.
The Mobster moniker, which I use on just about every forum where I don't use my real name, comes from my editing and publishing a small magazine called Muscle Mob. If you read it you were a 'Muscle Mobster' or 'Mobster' for short.
RX has done a profile on me. In brief the highlights are in my signature line.
What's the story behind your name and 'questionable' image?06, 08, 09 and now 2010 British (4x) and 2008/2010 European Grip Champion (2x)
