No Consistency In Figure Judging
I didn't think Cydney deserved it but to be fair who the hell knows what the criteria is for figure judging? She has more of an Erin Stern look on her bottom half. However the last few contests I figured they were not rewarding that look.
I wish the judges would come out and explain why they placed the top 5 the way they did.
And how the hell does Heather Dees place so high....I saw girls placed 16th that looked way better than her. Take Wendy Fortino......
Not to mention figure and physique are pretty much just different poses now.
I miss the FBB's. At least that category was consistent.

I don't think the judges know. They just want a poster girl that will hopefully gain some mainstream appeal. It's no way to judge a contest.

Bodybuilding judging is often a "loose set," which means it is impossible to define what it is, so we find an example of what we mean & point at it. The example in this case is first place.

the ifbb is losing a lot of credibility in the judging department.

I've followed figure since its inception with the days of Davana Medina, Jenny Lynn, Christine Pomponio-Pate, Jamie Franklin, Mari Kudla, Monica Brant, and others, and I can say that this year's judging in the Figure Olympia was among the most confusing I've seen in quite some time.
I was more confused than angry, though.FitGems Nation: Where Female Muscle Shines

This is why I've never cared at all about placings.
I have my favorites and I can tell who I think looks the best, so who cares what the judging panel decides? Of course it means money for those placing well, but even first place seems like it's chump change when compared to the heart and soul the competitors pour into their preps.Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | Join Rx Muscle on Facebook!

Set back to the good old days when times were bad. ONE (count 'em, ONE) new pro per year, & winning purses about the size of the 10th place Mr. O these days. Pros couldn't support themselves on their contest earnings then & most pros can't now either. If you want to make it, you do what Arnold did: play on your fame & become an entrepreneur. Can't do that? Find another line of work.

I had Candace Lewis winning her 4th consecutive figure Olympia.
Congratulations to Candace. The only constant in the division.

As far as the 3 horsewomen of figure(candice / latorya /cyd)
They can swap placings all they want and i'd still be happy . . .
