Red Sox Rock!
The Red Sox clinched by winning their game, & by another team losing. They were actually on a plane when the other team lost, so there was no celebration in the clubhouse. I expect they'll party like it's 1999 later on, when they win another game that moves them forward.
Dustin Pedroia is injured again. This time it was a ball he fouled off hit his nose. He bruised the nose, but plans to be back in the lineup.

The BoSox just clinched the division title, after qualifying for the post-season last week. Joy in Mudville, at least for an afternoon.

The Boston Red Sox fired field manager John Farrell after the second ALDS defeat in a row. One report stated Farrell would have been fired even if the team had won the ALDS. Speculation on which available players the team will hire to improve the lineup has begun.

The president of baseball operations was fired suddenly, & a team in free fall is clueless about its future. This is the worst point since Fried Chicken & Beer-gate. I feel bad for Red Sox Nation. I'll bet a lot of its members didn't get any sleep after hearing the news, which stunned the team & its field manager.Last edited by hifrommike65; 09-09-2019 at 06:24 AM.
