Is Jose being punished or is it judging incompetence or even are the Middle Eastern guys bringing in a lot of money and they get the 50/50 calls?

My guess is that the judges squarely has it a 1-2 competition between Flex and Hadi...

Because judging is always a matter of personal aesthetics & preferences, and because it is prone to being influenced by external factors, it is always going to be controversial--especially in an overheated online environment with so much personal quarterbacking. Bodybuilding is one of those pastimes that develop strong opinions among its followers, & the Internet encourages its participants to narrow their views & cling to them passionately, if not fanatically.

We will never have a meeting of minds in bodybuilding except the kind that Jonathan Swift spoke of in Gulliver's Travels: line all the politicians up, measure their craniums, match one to another with the same measure, cut off the tops of their heads & trade them for a meeting of minds.

That would make sense, only problem is Hadi & I were tied after prejudging & Flex had straight 1's

Hadi is an Ashkanai with legs. Fairly wide in the waist though and doesn't have flexes lines.

Hadi in Ohio next year further heats up the already hot 212 div.

Judges are fickle, & they tend to slot competitors at a certain rank & leave them there.

It was CLEARLY Jose and Hadi 1-2. Completely political. I say that even though I love Flex.
Bob I respect your history and knowledge but in my heart I think you know Flex didn't win this show but you can't say it.

No...I can't say that. Ive been plenty vocal in the past when not agreeing with the placings.

Said from the start of this, after seeing the first set of pics that came...I thought Jose could've been considered higher...as well as Hadi for the win. That said, based on later pics and video, I can see why the judges voted the way they did.

As you can see from the BB community comments over the last 3-4 days..NOTHING is CLEAR. Opinions vary....amongst judges as well. Thats why we have the system in place we do.

SPARK NOTES

-Flex Lewis was a clear 3rd in Korea.

-The only shots Flex won over Jose and Hadi was the front flat spread, the reverse vacuum, and the anti-hamstring. He also wins the award for having best 1970's conditioning.

-Ashkanani will never beat Hadi Choopan and should never have beaten Jose Raymond at the Olympia this year. The legs and conditioning are 2nd rate compared to those guys. To me the top 3 in the world of 212 is very clear.
