Again? Texas Church Murders
SUTHERLAND SPRINGS, Tex. — A gunman clad in all black, with a ballistic vest strapped to his chest and a military-style rifle in his hands, opened fire on parishioners at a Sunday service at a small Baptist church in rural Texas, killing at least 26 people and turning this tiny town east of San Antonio into the scene of the country’s newest mass horror.
The gunman was identified as Devin Patrick Kelley, 26, according to two law enforcement officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the investigation was continuing. Mr. Kelley, who lived in New Braunfels, Tex., died shortly after the attack.
He had served in the Air Force at a base in New Mexico but was court-martialed in 2012 on charges of assaulting his wife and child. He was sentenced to 12 months’ confinement and received a “bad conduct” discharge in 2014, according to Ann Stefanek, the chief of Air Force media operations.
The motive for the attack was unclear on Sunday, but the grisly nature of it could not have been clearer: Families gathered in pews, clutching Bibles and praying to the Lord, were murdered in cold blood on the spot.
Mr. Kelley started firing at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs not long after the Sunday morning service began at 11 a.m., officials said. He was armed with a Ruger military-style rifle, and within minutes, many of those inside the small church were either dead or wounded. The victims ranged in age from 5 to 72, and among the dead were several children, a pregnant woman and the pastor’s 14-year-old daughter. It was the deadliest mass shooting in the state’s history. At least 20 more were wounded.

More poor people killed, more gun-control coming.
Wonder what medication he was on.
Does not bode well for "Xanax nation".
Given his past issues it seems he would be under treatment.
Fits the bill for a Manchurian candidate.
Wonder why he didn't do it at fundraiser in hollyweird or capitalist hill.

This guy was gun controlled or at least was suppose to be. It was the air force that failed to report him to the data base for felony domestic battery. once again we have another government failure.
No law would have prevented him from doing what he did.Last edited by Swiper; 11-07-2017 at 10:00 AM.

The guy was shot 3 three times and chased down by two private individuals. Don’t try to be a jackass in Texas.

All this stuff about mass murder mental illness is hooey. It takes an enormous amount of effort & organization to do what the mass murderers at Sandy Hook, Orlando, San Bernadino, Las Vegas & Sutherland Springs (among many others in the last several years) did. Of course these people are cracked, but so are many others walking around. It is the easy availability of military weaponry to the general population that enables them to do what they do. & it will not stop as long as that is the case.

Air Force secretary: ‘We’ve taken responsibility’ for failing to enter Texas shooter’s court-martial into civilian databases
Devin Patrick Kelley was court-martialed in 2012 for choking his ex-wife and fracturing her son's skull, authorities said. The ex-wife's mother was a congregant at First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs but was not at services on Sunday, when Kelley went on his rampage there.
Wilson said the Air Force does not know if this is the only case where court-martialed convicts were not reported in the federal civilian database. She said the Air Force is "checking all" of its databases to find out what happened.
"We have initiated a review inside the Air Force to find out why his fingerprint record were not transmitted to the database. We will find out why," Wilson said.
The Defense Department's inspector general, led by Glenn Fine, is also looking to "make sure that everything is checked and that all procedures are clarified," Wilson said.

If u don’t like the 2nd amendment feel free to see what happened when guns were banned in Germany, Russia, Cuba or when Pol Pot consficated them. A disarmed society is ripe for a govt to turn on its people. I carry everywhere I go because this country has so many guns even if outlawed criminals will always get them, or the will build a fertilizer bomb or ram shit with a truck. Libtards are too dumb to understand criminals don’t follow laws whether it a gun law or drug law.

If you want nonmilitary citizens to have access to military weaponry, you consent to mass murder of the general population. Hope you feel the same way when a member of your family gets killed the next time around.

Though he did not identify Willeford by name, the Texas department of public safety regional director, Freeman Martin, said at a news conference on Monday that the armed resident who confronted Kelley was toting an “AR assault rifle and engaged” the shooter.

if you consent to citizens not having access to ar 15 rifles and the likes of, you consent to their mass murder.
you do know the citizen that shot the shooter and probably stops more mass murder had an AR 15 rifle right? i’m sure that’s what you consider military weaponry correct?

From the same article:
A former National Rifle Association instructor who grabbed his rifle and ran barefoot across the street to open fire on the gunman who killed 26 people at a smalltown Texas church was hailed as a hero Monday, along with the pickup truck driver who helped chase the killer down.
Stephen Willeford, 55, said he was at his Sutherland Springs home on Sunday when his daughter alerted him that she had heard gunfire at the First Baptist church nearby. Willeford said he immediately retrieved his rifle from his weapon safe.
“I kept hearing the shots, one after another, very rapid shots – just ‘Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!’ – and I knew every one of those shots represented someone, that it was aimed at someone, that they weren’t just random shots,” Willeford said Monday during an interview with the television stations KHBS/KHOG in Fort Smith and Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Purchasing any weapon shouldn’t be like buying a jug of milk, but people who can check all the boxes should definitely be able to arm themselves.
Definitely see your point, brother, but also want people like Stephen Willeford to not be sidelined by knee jerk legislation.Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | Join Rx Muscle on Facebook!

I respect you wanting to save lives but an A15 is not the same as a M16 or M4. The AR15 is only semiautomatic meaning it chambers each round automatically but cannot fire more than one round at a time.
Also a vast majority of homicides are committed using handguns.
https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s..._2010-2014.xls
By far most of the deaths by guns are due to suicide.
https://fivethirtyeight.com/features...-gun-violence/
First, they’re rare, and the people doing the shooting are different. The majority of gun deaths in America aren’t even homicides, let alone caused by mass shootings. Two-thirds of the more than 33,000 gun deaths that take place in the U.S. every year are suicides (click through the graphic below to see how gun deaths break down)
The laws in place would’ve prevented the shooter from owning the firearm, if the Air Force had done be their job. I would also like to know why a violent offender who escaped from a mental ward was walking around free in the first place.
