"Learn from IFBB Pro Jose Raymond
And not some Wannabe Schmo"
Wow, who came up with that one? And who do you think it refers to?Last edited by hifrommike65; 01-08-2018 at 06:16 PM.

Take your pick; there are a lot of wannabe schmoes online making all sorts of claims to expertise. Although a number of excellent training & nutrition programs exist that certify professional trainers, you don't have to go through any of them in order to call yourself a trainer or nutritionist.
It's always interesting to hear what various people or mags say, but I wouldn't take dietary advice from anyone who isn't a registered dietitian, & even then would investigate the person's ulterior motives (like pimping certain brands that offer a kickback to the pimper).Last edited by hifrommike65; 01-09-2018 at 04:41 AM.

My comment isn't about Jose. I don't plan my diet based on what I read or hear in passing. Jose is offering clever commentary about what he eats, which I find interesting--especially because so many other elite bodybuilders only talk about what you can't eat.

Mac, I'm not overlooking Jose's advice. I'm reposting it. I am very interested in what he says.

I have to disagree with you to some extent.
I'm not saying that educational background or having some sort of "proof" that you are well-educated have zero value but it still doesn't make one an expert of his/her field.
Just because you have read lot of books and completed a course of some sort is not gonna have that much value if you don't know how to put all this information and knowledge in to practice.
Especially in this sport individual differences can be sometimes so drastic that you really cannot apply same principles to everyone. You have to be a problem solver and learn what works best for each person
ps. Didn't know Jose also has an account here. Cool!
