What's Up with NABBA?
I'm putting this thread in the Muscle Central subforum because I believe what the IFBB Professional League is doing by opening up pro qualifiers to non-NPC competitors is an attempt to raid professional ranks in other competitive leagues, but especially in NABBA. The top pros in NABBA are every bit as good as the IFBB pros, but NABBA offers little pro competition & almost no purses for their shows. We will see if this raid works, but it already appears to be having an effect. Places that are NABBA strongholds have upcoming IFBB pro qualifiers. What this influx of new pros into the IFBB Professional League will do to existing pros is anyone's guess. I'm hoping they expand pro competition opportunities to accommodate these new pros.
I am not saying I'm against the IFBB Professional League's changes. It is taking advantage of the terrible situations many pro-level competitors face. Anyone have any thoughts on this issue?

The standard in NABBA is good but the best NABBA guys always migrated over to the IFBB. Arnold, Nubret, Charle Clairmount, Edwardo Kawak, Bertil Fox etc etc.
The standard of NABBA was and is lower than the IFBB.
The multiple pro Universe NABBA winner Eddie Ellwood gave up his IFBB pro card because he was not good enough and went back to NABBA where he cleaned up.

Muscle wars may be heating up again. By that, I mean conflicts between rival federations. The downside of this has previously been the shrapnel hitting competitors caught in the crossfire. I hope that doesn't happen this time.
