This isn't new. Guys have been complaining about this for years. It's as if the judges know in the first 5 minutes who won and then it's a race to the after party. If I spent 6-8 months prepping and never got a comparison I'd want to strangle somebody.

Ed Pariso made an interesting point in a Branch Warren video: IFBB judges slot you, & once you've been slotted, it's very hard to get out of it. Say you're slotted at third. Well, the same judges are on panels regardless of the contest, & you tend to get third over & over again, unless you come in much better or much worse. I suppose it does help keep you from going lower at times, but it also keeps you from going higher.
