Nutrition research methodologies textbook.
Methodology is everything in a research study, particularly its statistical model. It must be accurate to control the data, which are either quantitative & qualitative. Quantitative data analyzes results. I know someone who did this research for a dissertation. This individual analyzed surveys on the subject, which varied from a few hundred to tens of thousands of individuals surveyed, & ran the data from those surveys through her statistical model over 100 times in the course of the research. Qualitative research develops new data using an original model. It is harder to control than quantitative, but it is the basis of progress in the sciences (STEM & social sciences).
